Tonight, my friend took me for dinner at Aqua. There were four of us so we didn’t get to sit right by the window because the table was too small for us but we sat close to it so we were still able to see the beautiful Hong Kong night view. My friend booked the table through openrice online so therefore we got an extra plate of sashimi! The easiest is to order from the golden ticket menu so we were ready to set within a few mins. First came with our appetizers which were sashimi and ham platters. They were wonderfully presented on the table, we dug in straight away. The sashimi was so fresh and tasty, it had a flavour of sweetness. The ham platter was very popular among the kids, they kept eating the ham and Parma ham.
The extra oyster was delicious, it was fresh and sweet.
The spaghetti and risotto were both seasoned beautifully. The flavour was so good, for a moment I wish I could make this at home because the kids loved the cheesy flavour in the spaghetti.
The Japanese dumplings were meaty and juicy. The pastry was not too thick so it was easy to chew.
The most disappointing part during our dining experience was the wait for our wagyu beef. We finished our food and needed to wait for almost half an hour for the stone grill wagyu to arrive. It was almost 9pm but everyone else was getting the same wagyu beef except us. The kids were not happy about it. Anyway, after a lot of reminders, they finally arrived and everyone was so happy. The waitress helped us to cook a few pieces and then I asked if we could do it ourselves. The kids found it super fun to be able to cook it by themselves.
The desserts were great. They looked wonderful but we sort of lost our appetite after the long wait of our main course.
