Tucked in a cul de sac, and being overshadowed by Kenjo and the other nice Jap restaurants nearby, this restaurant serves surprisingly good Jap cuisine and it is really a delight to have lunch here. The restaurant is very small and gives you a warm, homely feel. The waitors are attentive and helpful. The only chef (the stall owner) is polite though not over friendly. When you sit down in the stall watching him prepare 2 or 3 meals by himself all at once, you cannot help but be impressed by his dedication and professionalism. I have tried the Omakase and grilled fish sets at lunch which are very good indeed. Only one small issue - the sashimi is not terribly exciting (although it is still fresh) and I think the cooked items are much better. (In any case, if you want sushi or sashimi just go next doors to Kenjo instead !) Overall, I think it is a stall I will come back again to try, perhaps during dinner time as well.
