We ordered the pork knuckle and a half roast chicken. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive as the restaurant was pretty empty. The waitress offered to debone it but since I've had this wonderful dish before in Germany and Switzerland, I thought it'll be a sinch to eat. How wrong was I? It was exceptionally dry and over cooked. Half of the meat in the knuckle seemed and felt like it had been under the heating lights for 4 hrs? The roast chicken was also dry so we asked for some sauc
The roast chicken was also dry so we asked for some sauce and they charged us 10 dollars for small ramekin of chicken gravy. We complained to the waitress but it went in one ear and out through the other. What was the point of complaining?
Overall, service was poor from non descriptive waitresses who didn't even smile once and the food was terrible. When we left the restaurant, we wondered why all the neighboring restaurants were so lively and busy, now we know!! Avoid Berliner you can.
