I love this restaurant chain. I was lured at once by her dessert counter in Cityplaza one afternoon when previously her IFC branch repeatedly failed to draw me in. This one dessert, Coconut Crepe Cake, stands alone—looks good and tastes good and it even beats haupia cake (Hawaii's Dee Lite version before they add coconut shreds on the sides) as the best coconut cake dessert for now.Naturally, we have our family gathering dinner here. I love this restaurant chain. I was lured at once by her dessert counter in Cityplaza one afternoon when previously her IFC branch repeatedly failed to draw me in. This one dessert, Coconut Crepe Cake, stands alone—looks good and tastes good and it even beats haupia cake (Hawaii's Dee Lite version before they add coconut shreds on the sides) as the best coconut cake dessert for now.
Naturally, we have our family gathering dinner here. For a family of 2 seniors and 2 women, we have only eight dishes: one soup, one appetizer, two salads, two pastas, and two desserts.
We start with Light Tom Yum Soup with River Prawn and Ravioli, so light that you can still taste the herbal and prawn freshness with a tinge of spiciness. Then we are served with Chicken Satay juxtaposed with colorful pepper & onion skewers that can't go wrong unless you eat the chili seed. Next we have Weeping Tiger with Spicy Pesto, the beef is passable, and I also like how the beef chucks are each placed on a cucumber slice; garnished with red onions like a cocktail platter with pesto sauce. The other salad is Fried Sea Bass with Green Mango Dressing; it's refreshing and spicy with chili sauce. Then we have the traditional Phad Thai with Fresh Prawn that is just perfect while Spaghetti with Thai Anchovy's sauce is too South Asian for me (it's like our prawn paste to westerners). ;)

We complete our meal with Coconut Crepe Cake again that even my fastidious dad agrees this is good and also a Mango with Sticky Rice. And the letter blocks on the wall capture my spirit succinctly: "A PARTY WITHOUT CAKE IS A MEETING."
