had a bowl of yummy salty dau fu fa (hot beancurd jelly served with pickled mustard greens and sun-dried shrimps in soya sauce and hot chili oil) here in lam tsuen. to me it is more impressive to have the salty one than the ordinary beancurd jelly with sugar syrup. the dau fu fa is very smooth and had a right balance of saltiness and spiciness. the dried shrimps are very crispy and the mustard greens add extra taste to the jelly. would say it tastes more like a chinese dish than a dessert though

bought two chinese (hakka) mochi takeaways for my family as well ( a sweet one and a salty one). didnt get to try them but comments were positive.
