This dish is widely available in local fast eats, but the sauce often tends to be thick and gravy-like, and loaded with MSG too. Make your own at home and the sauce is definetely a perfect match with plain white rice.

Ingredient and Portion
Tender beef fillet 320 g
onion 1 pc
carrots 1/2pc
green bell pepper 1/2pc
Seasoning
Marinade:
light soya sauce 1tbsp
cornstarch 1tbsp
sugar 1tsp

Seasonings:
Chili oil 1 1/2tbsp
light soya sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
water 1tbsp
wine 1tbsp
sugar 1tsp
cornstarch 1tsp
sesame oil 1tsp
black pepper 1/2tsp
Method
Cut onions, carrots and green pepper into shreds. Cut beef into thick slices and marinade for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in wok, and shallow fry beef briefly and take out. Drain away excess oil.
Heat some oil, stir fry onions, carrots and green bell pepper. Add in seasonings and cook for a while.
Add beef into sauce and stir well over high heat.
