How to choose from so many great pastries?

Arrived Wan Chai quite early around 930am and came to Bake House and luckily there was 1 table left so I can enjoy the pastries right after they reheat it.The only difficulty is choosing what pastries to have. One of my friends recommended Almond Danish and my other friend recommended Apple Crumble Danish so I ordered both and their Sourdough Egg Tart.Despite not being an almond fan, their almond danish was amazing, the sweetness of the glaze was just right and and the almonds were still crispy.

 Every bite from the apple crumble danish was filled with apples and the only thing you need to be careful is the toppings of the apple crumble falling off as there was so much.

 The sourdough egg tart was just as impressive. The croissant like exterior made by sour dough was just perfect and the egg custard was aromatic without being too sweet.

Have been waiting, dying to visit this place since its opening

Arrived before 9:30AM on a Wednesday and I need to admit I was surprised to see a queue
I mean, it's a weekday morning, surely most people have to work!?
They separate Dine-in and Take-out queue 
And we had to wait for a bit longer than 15 minutes before being seated.
The dine-in area was somewhat small and the tall stool was not too convenient
But for the food's sake I will make do.

 Bakehouse serves a range of breakfast which looks very tempting

After some difficult thinking time, we decided to order a croissant, a sourdough egg tart and an almond danish to share

 The baked goods are served warm when you dine-in
Just look at this plate of heaven

 The lovely cross section
This croissant is flaky but not oily
Your fingers will not get all greasy after holding it like some croissants from other shops
I just had a croissant from Crostini the other day
And now I know why people say Bakehouse has the best croissant in town
You get the right amount of flavor and texture
Yet you don't get the grease
This really is amazing. End of story.

 Personally not a fan to the cookie crust of normal egg tart
so this sourdough crust was made for me.
It has the texture of Portuguese egg tart, minus the grease
So clever of Chef Greg to come up with this idea

 Last but not least, 
my friend wanted to try the almond danish
I am so thankful to her for placing this order as I would have missed this amazing danish if it's not for her
You get a crunch layer of almond slices on top of a lovely pastry
Inside, you get a thick layer of almond paste
This almond paste is the main main main focus here.
It is rich but not too sweet or artificial
Please someone tell me the secret to this danish

We enjoyed our breakfast here today.
All the food we tried was amazing
Though it is on the pricey side
Given the quality of the food,
I would say it's worth every penny and popularity
No wonder this place is still so popular

    兩星期前嚟過外賣包點，實在太正，仲想再嚟坐低堂食試下，感受下個氣氛。不過今次有d晏，大約下午4點到，所以都係下次再早d先試堂食啦。門外玻璃寫咗星期一休息，週末同假期就9點才開，平日9點開門。5點就休息喇，所以3點3下午茶完，就差不多喇。Cinnamon Bun 好香玉桂味之外，甜之中有少少咸。中間一層層包之間都有玉桂醬。包面嘅合桃脆脆地，合桃嘅甜同玉桂味原來好夾架~ 玻璃架入面最後一個 Cheese Danish。其他包店嘅芝士包已經唔係我考慮之中好耐，因為實在太油，無咩芝士味，食咗只覺油膩又滯，但又唔飽。不過今次呢個有驚喜呀！表面全部都有烘脆咗嘅芝士，中間都有層層芝士呀，好香！上次食過 Almond Danish，實在太正，買咗兩個，即食一個，留一個聽日當甜品食~ 表面有薄薄杏仁片，包面烘到又脆又香。切開中間原來仲有杏仁蓉，好真嘅香甜杏仁味呀！White Sourdough 外脆內軟，好香麥嘅味道。食麵包頭都係享受~ 就算第2朝當早餐食都係差唔多~ Seeded Sourdough 係烘香咗嘅種子味，上面嗰d種子密密麻麻，絕對用心灑上去。返到屋企立即切開嚟食。嘩！連中間都好多種子

     Seeded Sourdough 係烘香咗嘅種子味，上面嗰d種子密密麻麻，絕對用心灑上去。
    返到屋企立即切開嚟食。嘩！連中間都好多種子呀！
    一啖咬落去，好香脆呀，絕對係 seeded 呀~ 不過容易熱氣嘅話，就記得飲多d水呀。


    今次見到嗰個職員好似有d趕收工咁呀，張單無俾我，我又唔想阻人收工，匆忙走咗喇。
    下次記得攞番張單先~ 絕對會再嚟買包，再試下其他未食過嘅包~
    希望下次可以坐低食一次！
