Returned to one of my all time favourites, Little Bao, a casual eatery that serves the cutest baos, perfect for a quick and casual lunch! 🍔 Pic 1️⃣: Pork Belly Bao - $88 hkd— Probably my favourite bao from the meal! I love that this is a non-deep fried option which makes it a lot less oily as a lot of their menu items are already deep-fried. The slow-braised pork belly was really juicy and flavourful, and went really well with the sesame mayo hoisin ketchup, which added a bit of acidity to it.Pic

Pic 1️⃣: Pork Belly Bao - $88 hkd — Probably my favourite bao from the meal! I love that this is a non-deep fried option which makes it a lot less oily as a lot of their menu items are already deep-fried. The slow-braised pork belly was really juicy and flavourful, and went really well with the sesame mayo hoisin ketchup, which added a bit of acidity to it.
Pic 2️⃣: Fried Chicken Bao - $98 hkd — Despite being fried, the chicken was still extremely juicy and tender. This could’ve done with a bit more sauce as it was slightly dry in my opinion.
Pic 3️⃣: Teriyaki Chicken Bao - $98 hkd 🐔 — I didn’t think this would be fried chicken if I’m honest so I was a bit surprised when this arrived! The chicken was super crispy and crunchy, clearly made to order as everything was really hot. There was a bit too much chicken skin in my chicken so I could barely taste any meat in this unfortunately. The sauces were nice and flavourful, wasabi mayo was pungent, but the teriyaki sauce was slightly weak. Loved the acidity from cucumber salad to balance out the greasiness of everything else and also added a nice crunch.
Pic 4️⃣: Green Tea Ice-Cream Bao - $38 hkd 🍵 — Really good and a must order! It tastes as good as it looks! Quite a strong green tea taste coming from the ice cream and a nicely fried bao bun. Nice addition of condensed milk but some may find this a little too sweet.
Pic 5️⃣: Salted Ice-Cream Bao - $38 hkd 🍨 — Another good dessert! Flavours were less complex in comparison to the green tea one but still good. The ice cream in this was slightly bland but it was saved by the salted caramel sauce.
Pic 6️⃣: Truffle Fries - $98 hkd 🍟 — These were really good. Loaded with braised shiitake tempeh which was super flavourful, the truffle mayo had a strong truffle taste which I loved. Interesting addition of pickled daikon for some acidity and crunch.
Pic 7️⃣: Fried Mushrooms - $68 hkd 🍄 — This was interesting. Haven’t had much fried mushroom, but this was quite good! It definitely has a kick to it as the peppercorn oil is quite strong and leaves a numbing sensation afterwards. Mushrooms were fried nicely and the coating was super crispy whilst the mushrooms were still moist.
This place serves some unique bao(s) that are surprisingly good. The signature pork belly bao with the slow-braised pork belly, sesame mayo and shiso leek salad is tasty as usual where as the appetizers such as the shrimp taco and pan-fried dumplings aren't as exceptional yet very tasty. The hidden gem, ice cream bao was terrifically good and definitely gotta order it during the visit. All the goodies here come with hefty price tags which is a bit of a turn off.

My first little bao experience was at their original location in soho a few years back. It was already very hyped up back in the day. But I remember being very disappointed because the bao was so small (about the size of my fist), I thought it was ridiculously overpriced. Yes it tasted good, but not good enough to justify to the price. When my friend suggested coming here you can understand why I had some hesitation. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that the portions have definitely got

When my friend suggested coming here you can understand why I had some hesitation. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that the portions have definitely gotten bigger, and the appetisers we ordered were also surprisingly good. I would go so far as to say the appetisers were even better than the baos. The little ice cream baos were the perfect way to finish off the meal. I would definitely come back!
#audreyeats_cwb -$78🐔-$78 🐷-$78Brought my parents to Little Bao to get some bao bao 🤣 fried chicken never fails me! Juicy chicken fillet with crispy skin🤤Pork belly bao! The evil thick cut pork belly was super flavourful 😈 the combination of hoisin sauce and sesame mayo though🤯😋also got to try the CHRISTMAS SPECIAL BAO aka duck breast bao🎄 I expected it to be some sort of pan fried duck breast, but it came like a duck breast patty inside the white fluffy buns! Personally I was quite disappointed

Personally I was quite disappointed in this bao since it wasn’t as flavourful as the other ones and the duck breast patty was nothing special😕 looking forward to other upcoming new baos!! . . Weekday lunch set includes their signature bao with fries, salad and oolong tea at just $88! I would say it’s pretty value for money! It’s a fun and creative tasting experience, incorporating Asian cooking and ingredients into western cuisine. The restaurant setting reminds me of the American fast food diner which is very fitting that they’re selling these fusion ‘burgers’ with fries. Their rendition of ‘burger’ uses Chinese steamed bao bun to replace brioche bun. They were still slightly toaste

Pork Belly Bao Slow-cooked pork belly has a nice crust and extremely tender, most importantly not too fatty. The mix of sesame mayo and hoisin ketchup sauce was unique and scrumptious. My favorite out of the three!
Fried Chicken Bao No one would say no to a fried chicken bao! Succulent chicken with super crunchy skin, glazed with a punchy mayo and balanced with fresh coleslaw.
Thai short rib Bao (seasonal option) Short rib was so tender but the highlight must be the punchy green curry sauce that surprised me with a kick of chili!
Crispy spicy pork belly salad | $88 Super refreshing salad with great textual choice of veggies and super crispy pork belly. A little spicy to stimulate your palate.
Salted ice cream bao | $38 The mini dessert baos were just too cute! A salted ice cream and caramel sauce sandwiched between very crispy bun (which resembles the deep fried dim sum steamed bun). I’ve officially joined the ice cream sandwich fan club!
Thai ice cream bao | $48 This was slightly disappointed. The mango passion fruit sauce was more on the sour side which didn’t match well with the lovely sweet coconut pandan ice cream. I would imagine coconut cream being a better pairing.
