For some odd reason, we decided to follow a bridge we had never taken before and entered a mall we had not been to. Menu is in English and Chinese. However, the daily dinner specials for two people are in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge and you pay on your way out. The dinner set includes two bowl of rice, two mains (one from group A and another from group B) and two drinks for $138. We decided to do that.
One of the mains we chose was a braised tofu and fried garoupa in a clay pot. It was pretty good. The fish was not over cooked. The sauce was a bit on the salty side but boyfriend felt it was perfectly seasoned. The tofu was soft and fluffy but I wish there was more. There were a lot of mushrooms found throughout the dish as well.
The other main was lemon fried pork chop. Clearly not enough sauce though it tasted pretty good as it was not too sour but just sour enough. The pork chops were fried very well but the meat as still moist and tender.
Food was pretty good and portion size was more than generous. Though food does take a while to come out, I can see why people who live in this area eat here. It's a good casual neighbourhood place.
