返工放lunch想不到吃什麼,於是到處逛逛,看見有新食店,即管一試。看見餐牌已覺得比一般車仔麵要貴,但看到他有提供無味精清湯,總算有些賣點。點了油麵($13)+素汁鮑魚菇($10)+滷水溏心蛋($7)打開一看,份量少,溏心蛋只有2/3隻,剩下的1/3隻去哪兒了?清湯味道不錯,麵跟配料都很好,滷水溏心蛋味道不錯(蛋黃偏熟,可能是外賣時焗熟了),但整體份量真的太小了吧?很不忿$7 只換來2/3隻滷水溏心蛋,請不要告訴我1/3隻是給下一位客人的!人家日本拉麵店的溏心蛋都不便宜,但好歹也會給你一隻,現在感覺有點被騙了…想投訴但發現收據沒有電話,只好在此發洩一下,也作其他顧客參考。

人家日本拉麵店的溏心蛋都不便宜,但好歹也會給你一隻,現在感覺有點被騙了…

想投訴但發現收據沒有電話,只好在此發洩一下,也作其他顧客參考。

我相信謝斐道的食店.如果要全部試過.實在相當困難.當天行過灣仔.想吃得經濟一點.就選擇車仔麵.呢間車仔麵門面不算明顯.行入店內環境亦不算大,內面有數張圓枱,近廚房的位置有數張高枱,環境衛生不俗,牆身設計是上一代排檔,也頗有心思.買食物的方法,就是填完紙.行出去埋單.之後找位坐.等食..價錢其實合理.最便宜十八元就有交易,若三十至四十元,一定吃到飽.飲品七喜3元:是杯裝.百事系列,最便宜的貸源,不過只係付出三元,也不能要求太多.四餸車仔麵:39元,麻辣湯底,但個湯底只是顏色似麻辣.有很重八角和香料,胡椒等味道.麻辣味道卻消失了,就算有.都係吃完後有3秒.bb級麻的感覺.完全是零辣度.雞翼:其實偏瘦的.感覺似煮得過火.顏色亦淡色,肉也煮到十分林身,肉味也較薄弱.感覺一般.豬腸:較厚身的一種,有彈性,處理得乾淨,內裏完全沒有肥油,當然會欠決油香.但至少無異味.有咬口..也合格.豬紅:欠決滑的感覺,較實心.亦欠決香味.,牛腩:偏瘦,質感較硬.其實又不致於零肉味.牛味又不騒.而且又重香味.味道反而有的驚喜.整碗麵給我感覺,廚師末夠經驗處理食物,但大致上又不算太差,只是有進步空間,這裏是經濟之選.

七喜3元:是杯裝.百事系列,最便宜的貸源,不過只係付出三元,也不能要求太多.

四餸車仔麵:39元,麻辣湯底,但個湯底只是顏色似麻辣.有很重八角和香料,胡椒等味道.麻辣味道卻消失了,就算有.都係吃完後有3秒.bb級麻的感覺.完全是零辣度.

雞翼:其實偏瘦的.感覺似煮得過火.顏色亦淡色,肉也煮到十分林身,肉味也較薄弱.感覺一般.

豬腸:較厚身的一種,有彈性,處理得乾淨,內裏完全沒有肥油,當然會欠決油香.但至少無異味.有咬口..也合格.

豬紅:欠決滑的感覺,較實心.亦欠決香味.,

牛腩:偏瘦,質感較硬.其實又不致於零肉味.牛味又不騒.而且又重香味.味道反而有的驚喜.

整碗麵給我感覺,廚師末夠經驗處理食物,但大致上又不算太差,只是有進步空間,這裏是經濟之選.若在附近工作,路過都值得一試,專登去就不必,

今天收工路過此餐廳,被這裡的宣傳單張吸引,竟敢以無落味精為買點,加上門面簡潔,也吸引我入內一試。店子裝修雖簡單,但亦有點個性,因為客人檯做得較高,要配上酒吧椅子,其實座得不太舒適,不過做食肆的也想客人快快吃吧後便離開翻檯嗎。檯面上有點餐纸,選擇了麵類及食品後便要到收銀處落單及付款,可以用八達通,很放便。我對車仔麵興趣不大,只想試了牛腩肚湯粗麵,等了一會服務員便送上食物,見到麵碗形狀是大匙羹形,還印了店名子Logo,賣相特別,但看清楚碗内食品,卻發現份量較一般麵店的少,牛腩只有三小塊,牛肚亦只有三小條,粗麵只有一小個,白蘿蔔數粒,還有一塊生菜,份量比外出的一般麵店份量屬偏少,以為是特價下午茶餐的份量。味道方面牛腩很瘦,真不似是牛腩,牛肚質地普通,不硬也好,粗麵質地不差,最後也必要嘗嘗幾口這些無味精的湯水,試試自己是否因吃了味精而不適,湯水很清不肥膩。今餐雖然不飽,但下午真的卻沒有因吃了味精而不適,不知道是用了較優質的味精或是真的沒有味精? 今個下午最後要再吃下午茶填肚。

頭條日報看見媽打兒子在灣仔開了車仔麵檔就叫一些姊妹一起去看看試試。新店有點現代化街邊風味,看得出是年輕人開的。試食價十八蚊三餸麵很抵食。我選了油麵,豬皮,豬紅,咖喱魚蛋,再加了雞翼,都是23蚊,四餸,試得過。等食等了十分鍾,加五分鐘排隊打電腦單,食完覺得值得,有機會會再來。食得出餸菜用心去做。咖喱魚蛋咖喱味很好,帶點辣,質感好,豬紅好味,有煮過,豬皮算爽,顏色好,不太鹹,雞翼很滑,滷水味濃。欣賞上湯底是很清,真的沒味精,跟一般車仔麵不一樣,喝多兩口。店員動作不太熟手,有進步空間,希望下次麵可以煮得快些。值得排隊試試!

As usual I chose vermicelli and tried the marinated quail eggs.

很好奇為什麼可以在灣仔食到比我們在葵芳更平和好食的車仔麵。同事點了雞翼溏心蛋麵跟我說雞翼很好食,好滑。那個麵比我的貴$9,但是同事跟我說雞翼是比她在別的車仔麵檔食過的好食,滷水味濃得來不太鹹。

加$2有杯忌廉蘇打,很難相信$19在灣仔可以食到好食的午餐。

大面子車仔麵招牌小了一點,路過很容易看不見。但是坐在店裡面感覺像在街邊食車仔麵。餐牌簡單,用紅字像以前的麵檔。

總說,大面子是潛力,抵食。如果我在附近工作,會常再來的車仔麵店。

牛丸的體積卻比街外的大.....但不多彈牙, 肉味不重, 沒有雪味, 食在可更飽肚

牛腩卻以瘦身的多......對一般不太好肥高脂肪食物的我, 尤為喜歡, 但牛腩略嫌乾身及不夠厚身, 否則口感會好一些, 至於入呆方面都幾好, 入味得來不太鹹...

車仔麵中, 附送一條青菜較為欣賞, 給食客感覺有嘗試/簡接帶出營養均衡的提示.

但整碗麵來說,味道就真是一般了....不是很突出, 不過不失,

在構思及店鋪創意上, 真的給客人一個注意力, 可是價錢卻較昂貴,味道一般

能否持續顧客光顧是未知數......

Found out about this shop through OpenRice but I could not call them for a takeaway because there was no telephone number. I wonder how it was possible to be listed here because if there is no telephone number it does not get listed.I googled this place and was surprised that they had a website which was in English as well as in Chinese.Their shop interior and logo was designed with thought.When I got there, I was surprised it was a neat joint for noodles, it was decorated like those food stall

When I got there, I was surprised it was a neat joint for noodles, it was decorated like those food stall places with those red eggshell lamps and foldable tables.

The first two visits, the noodles were great but on the third visit, the broth was tasteless.

Hopefully they will be consistent next time.

At the front of the counter, you can see the ingredients displayed neatly in metal trays, vegetables and meat have been kept separate and likewise the meat.

The basic noodle costs $33 and there is a simple noodle that costs $40 but it does not state what ingredients are in it.

I was really impressed with their range of noodles because they had Inaniwa udon.
For soups they also had sichuan broth and tom yum broth.
They claim that their noodles are MSG free.

The only drawback at the moment is that they only accept payments by octopus, if you insist paying by cash they will use their own octopus and get change from elsewhere which holds up the queue.

I couldnt understand why this was more expensive than the ordinary noodles because it was just plain abalone mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, beanshoots and vegetables.

Should have come back last week instead of waste our meal at some random restaurant nearby this one... I have had these "rickshaw noodles" a couple of times before and was not very impressed. But I am a fan now.

I think this place just "started" and are trying out their new operations, since their menus are still printed on A4 paper and just sticky taped onto the counter at this time. They have digital menus and not a whole lot of instruction on how to order. However, it is not exactly rocket science to order a bowl of noodles and we figured it out soon enough. It was like ordering a salad or a pizza, except in this case, you order your noodles and pick your toppings. The cashier was not very friendly and did not appear very familiar with their computer system, so we took like a minute to place our order.

Once we ordered and paid, we were told to take a seat and pick up the noodles when they were ready. I was surprised they only accepted Octopus, which was great for me since I do not like carrying coins. The restaurant offers free seating using stools and the "tacky" street furniture. But on second thought, this actually went well nicely. I think the owners are proud of the heritage of their noodles and you can see a big poster of an old market food stall in the middle of the restaurant, probably of their old shop back in the day. I was told by my friend that this used to be a street food, hence the furniture I guess, which is appropriate.

Shortly after we picked a spot, our ticket was called (probably around 2 minutes after we paid) and we had to get up again to go get our noodles. Our noodles came in a stylish white Daimenko bowl with a handle, which we thought was pretty neat.

This is where things started getting better. I ordered my own combo including: Chicken Wings, Soy Egg, Beef Brisket and Curry Squid with Inaniwa Udon. My friend ordered some "dirty street hawker noodle", which according to him, is the traditional favourite. I passed on it because it included pork intestine which I am not that eager to try.

I started by eating the Chicken Wings. I will tell you that I have a bias as I generally like eating chicken wings and order it even when I go to Mcdonald's... That said, you wouldn't believe it, this is probably one of the BEST chicken wings I have had, a la Chinese style at a noodle shop in Hong Kong. The wings had the usual soy flavour which is good although not very strong - but the texture was PERFECT.

The Soy Egg was nice and had a soft yolk. Beef was good and so was the curry squid. I also ordered a fresh pear juice, which was nice.

The portions were just right and not very big. Some guys might like to have a "bigger" bowl of noodles, but I liked this size (as it left me "satisfied" with sufficient space for a dessert and not feeling very stuffed).

As for my friend, he liked the dirty street hawker noodle he had. Although he said the spicy soup could be "hotter", it was a good amount so that he could taste the other ingredients.

My friend tells me that my bowl of noodles was relatively pricey, but not expensive, given that a bowl of Inaniwa Udon would cost like 80-200 dollars at a Japanese restaurant. He thinks his bowl was good value at 33 dollars with like 5 toppings, especially for Wanchai. For me, I can simply say that I would pay 80-100 dollars for a bowl of noodles that looks like this and I ended up paying 50, so I am a happy camper.

We originally thought Daimenko was just another ramen place, but it is not. It is truly a Hong Kong noodle shop and much more than just a "ramen place" - even though they serve ramen too. It is not fair to benchmark this place using my New York "Zagat" comparison since this is not western food, but I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a delicious bowl of Hong Kong style noodles - without having to go to some dumpy, back alley shop with a 30 minute wait. Just goes to show that in Hong Kong, one can still "get lucky" like we did, just walking into an unknown shop.

Maybe Daimenko could do with a little music? But like I said many times before, the most important thing about a restaurant is the food and this place has what it takes to bring me back for another bowl.
