There are only 3 Japanese dining options in Cyberport...Umami in the hotel, sushi takeaway from Park n Shop International, or this place. Oh Sushi is acceptable for lunch.
Ordered the chirashi don set...sliced sashimi on top of rice. Supposed to come with miso soup and some kind of salad. Well, the chirashi done came before the accompanying dishes. It must be said it was a generous portion. Nice bowls. The rice on the bottom was cold and sticky. It actually did not have much taste..perhaps from many hours before? The sliced sashimi was just put on top..so you really have to mix it amongst the rice and pour over soya sauce to make it tasty. Once you have done this magic formula, the taste is much better, especially for the price you pay. The sashimi is a mix of salmon, tuna, octopus, perhaps swordfish and some cucumber.
The miso soup is very average, but came in the middle of the meal. I don't touch the salad..its a few cut pieces of lettuce (i saw some brown spots) smothered with some kind of japanese dressing. Avoid it.
As for their description "Located in a sunny and open air place inside the plaza, transpired with a tropical and elegance ambiance.", there's nothing sunny and open air about this..you're inside of the deserted cyberport shopping mall with the window ceiling very high above you. On sunny days there is just more light inside, but you're not outside in "open air".
