On Friday night, I was having dinner with our COO who himself is an Indian.  He brought me to here.  I saw 60% of the guests were Indian, that certainly gave me some assurance that the food was good and authentic.Indeed, the food was exceptionally good.  We ordered tandoori chicken, mutton.  My COO told me Indian use yoghurt to marinate the meat, and it is a natural meat tenderiser.  No wonder, the chicken was very very tender.  Likewise, while I am not a mutton eater, I found the herb and yoghu

Indeed, the food was exceptionally good.  We ordered tandoori chicken, mutton.  My COO told me Indian use yoghurt to marinate the meat, and it is a natural meat tenderiser.  No wonder, the chicken was very very tender.  Likewise, while I am not a mutton eater, I found the herb and yoghurt mixed with the mutton in good taste.  
All other foods we ordered - naan bread, biryani, dessert, were all very very good.
I will definitely recommend this restaurant for my friends and family.

I ordered chicken biryani from Bombay Dreams and it Didn’t taste good at all. Felt like I was having chicken curry and rice. The amount of salt was very low and there wasn’t any aroma / flavour coming from it. Overall, not a great experience and the food quality & preparation was sub-standard.

This Indian restaurant is located in Wyndham Street, Central, and we have been here a few times. One of the better Indian restaurants in town in my opinion, the place has a good ambiance, certainly nice and romantic, though the tables are a bit too close to one another and overall the place is a bit dark in my opinion. We ordered a Tandoori Murgh (half) which has two pieces. The spring chicken is marinated very well, and grilled nicely in a Tandoor to give a charred and smoky aromas on top of the spicy notes. The chicken flesh is tender, and dipped in the yoghurt sauce mellows a bit the spiciness and give an extra creamy texture.

Next we have Rogan Josh, which are chunks of lamb cooked in onion and red pepper sauce. The sauce is rich and full of flavors, while the lamb is juicy, tender and tasty. This dish is recommended by the staff and certainly a good choice, with both my wife and myself rating this the best of the dishes on the night.

We also have Malai Jheenga Curry, which are fresh prawns cooked in a rich creamy curry sauce. The size of the prawns are quite small, which generally for me I would call them shrimps. But it has the bite which shows the freshness of the shrimps. The sauce is good, though a bit sweet.

To enjoy the sauce we also had some bread, a Tandoori Roti which is wholewheat bread baked in Tandoor, as well as a Garlic Nan. Both bread are good, and perfect complement to eat with the dishes to enjoy the sauce which are always the essence of the Indian food.

Along with two bottles of Aqua Panna, a Sweet Lassi, the total bill on the night was $668. Quite a reasonably price dinner, with the food, setting, services all considering it is of very good value for money.

My overall rating is 70/100.

星期六吃個brunch,朋友推薦這家在中環的印度餐廳,有個特別抵食的自助餐,每人只是17x。想著在中環區的話午餐不可能那麼便宜吧,而且還是自助?帶著不可思議的興趣來到。一進門就給這個漂亮的景觀攝住。對面是警署,將來會改建成藝術館。看著這麼古色古香的景觀,吃起來特別起勁!自助餐選擇好多,全部都很好吃!感覺大廚即使是自助餐還是很用心。開放式廚房讓人看見辛勤的廚師在烤肉,食指大動!甜品的選擇也好多!總得來說,菜色很豐富,價錢公道,味道一流,環境還很不錯!

I went to Bombay Dreams for lunch buffet and I did not particularly pay attention to my plating so the pictures do not do this restaurant justice. The buffet also comes with a choice of drink and set us back around $200 per person. I consider this a good value for the setting and food quality. 兩款小吃, Kara Bonda跟Vegetable Samosa也幾香脆, 只是不再熱暖, 如果早點來到的話, 情況應該不一樣. Tikka也有兩款, 分別是Fish Tikka Dill Se, 以及Chicken Tikka Methi Malai, 惹味之餘, 也開始感受到那辣勁了. 這時候, 要吃吃沙律, 中和一下.

另外, 還有Amritsari Paneer, Saag Matar, Aloo Baingan, 以及Daal Lobia, 我就最喜愛Amritsari Paneer, 咖哩味道複雜一些, 辣度是慢慢滲出來的, 吃到這裡, 可樂大派用場了.

吃完主菜, 吃點水果吧, 當然, 我主力的目標是西瓜, 很清甜. 最後還有三款甜品, Moong Dal Halwa, Raj Bhog, 以及Fruit Rabri, 說真的, 跟平日吃開的甜品相比, 是有十萬七千里的距離, 完全是不一樣的體驗, 如Raj Bhog, 就是堅甜的. 如果再加$20, 還可以點選咖啡或茶, 不過我之後還有下一個目標, 就不再喝了.

連續七年得到米芝蓮必比登推介, Bombay Dreams的成績很突出. 午市自助餐$158一位, 選擇也算豐富, 整體菜式亦有水準, 是城中吃印度菜的好選擇.

I m very disappointed regarding the food and at the same time their behaviour.we went for a buffet lunch. chicken kabab and few snacks are good only.i can not name a single good dish. I think they don't have hospitality manners .they should first learn hospitality management.

The staff and manager was very co-ordial. Bombay Dal and Cottage cheese with green chilly and spring onion ie paneer with hari mirch and hara pyaaz are highly recommended. They are also mentioned in the menu master strokes. Unfortunately didnt try any non-vegetarian dish that day but I am sure it would also taste good and as authentic as t

The ambience of the restaurant was good too with dim moonlight settings. According to me, its a good value for money restaurant.

The restaurant is a bit difficult to find – it’s located on the 4th floor of an office building with a relatively narrow entrance. However once you come inside the restaurant is very nice – modern, but unmistakably Indian and more “classy” than your average curry joint.
The menu is very extensive so we had some difficulties choosing, finally we decided on:

Murgh Tikka Peshawar (132 HKD)
Large chucks of boneless chicken, marinated and grilled. The description was something about in cream sauce, so I expected a dish similar to chicken tikka masala, which is isn’t – more like chicken tikka. However the taste of the chicken was very good and it came with a small serving of a minty dip. Unfortunately the chicken wasn't 100% cooked, not raw, but some slightly pink bits. Overall good, but probably would try something different next time.

Palak Paneer (98 HKD)
I had this dish in many places, this was definitely a good version. Lots of paneer, good texture. Relatively mild flavor, not only of Spinach, but also some herbs. Nice texture of the sauce. Overall a very good dish.

Dal Bombay (88 HKD)
A very dark dal, made from almost black beens or lentils (not sure) in a sauce. Again relatively mild, but still enough flavors. This one has a lot of very “dark”, earthy spices. Texture was a bit a liquid for my taste. Overall nice, would eat it again, but given the extensive menu not the next time.

Nan (26 HKD) and Roti (24 HDK)
Very good tandoori nan in structure, texture and flavor, the Roti was a bit chewy – would only order nan next time.

Service is ok, but a bit patchy – sometimes a bit slow, sometimes a bit fast.
Prices are (as you can see above) quite high for an Indian restaurant (in addition they charge 10% service fee), but given the quality and the ambience ok.

Bombay dreams唯一優勢是其地點,座落雲咸街,憑窗遠眺,便是舊中環警署.
我們奌了一支Riesling,在這個天時吃印度菜很適合.
店方送上welcome snack,每人半小件,類似fried dumpling東西,很美味;這個小小利誘讓我們食指大動,追吃samosa.

以薯蓉,豆蓉,洋蔥和香料做成的印度咖啡角,沒有剛才那件炸物出色,不過也蠻不錯,如果附上薄荷醬更對胃口.

其實材料真簡單不過,人人都會做..只要麵粉,酵母,鹽糖水,再加蒜頭芫茜便成,偏偏印度餐廳做出來,不需多大功夫,都好吃到不得了,何解?可能用炭爐關係..

這個..我沒能吃得下去,整個bread pudding都是煉奶再炸完浸糖水..真的...好甜~~~一億個甜,我現在想起毛管也竪起~~~

其實好一餐唔好又一餐,也是一個經驗,不過這個質素吃了我一千元,我就希望純粹是一個夢.

First of all, the service is not so up to standard (maybe one should have noticed with the signs from the prices on the menu). The waiters/waitresses are just not into us. Not happy to answer questions and not so much to really serve us. If it is not because of the 10% service charge, I will definitely consider to not giving any tips at all.
Maybe we ordered the wrong food or maybe the food is not exactly what my friends and I are used to have, the food we ordered seemed odd. My friends and I ate Indian food frequently when we were studying abroad. One of my friends even lived in India for a while, but the things we ordered were truly weird.
A plate of overcooked Seabass that has a taste and texture of chicken. A plate of grilled lamb that turned out to be a pâté like lamb meat patty (I actually respect this dish a lot. After eating a few pieces of them, I have wondered how lamb meat can be cooked in such a way that the texture and the taste of lamb changed so dramatically? At one point, I thought I was eating pan seared foie gras.)
Luckily, the Butter Chicken that we ordered was flavourful and wholesome, and the freshly made to order Garlic Naan was very crispy on one side and perfectly scented. So our dinner was not as bad as it could have been.
To be honest, I think if we ordered the right food the whole experience should have been great. It is probably a great place for couples or small group of friends to just chill and have a great time. The seats are cozy and spacious. Moreover, there were a lot of Indians waiting to be seated when we left, so this place should not be that bad.
I probably will go try once again in the future, but in the short term I will need some time to digest this experience before I have the courage to try it out again.

因想吃一些很久沒有吃的料理,所以這次的朋友聚會我們訂了這家餐廳。驚訝的是餐牌上的價格與中環蘇豪的餐廳相比下並不貴,而且餐廳的設計及環境也非常舒服及有情調。但是在點餐之後,所有的事情就急轉直下了。餐廳的侍應服務麻麻。一副愛理不理的態度。如果不是有加一的話,我覺得最後我們未必會給任何的tips。有可能我們點錯東西,也有可能與我們想像的一般會吃的印度菜不同,我們吃的菜都有點怪。其實我和我們的朋友在外國的時候常吃印度菜,更有朋友去過印度住過,但奇怪的是我們點的東西真的很怪。一盤吃起來像雞肉而且過熟的Seabass。一碟理應是烤羊肉但完成品是類似鵝肝醬的羊肉餅。總之就是有點怪。萬幸的是我們還點了風味十足的Butter Chicken和現點現做的 Garlic Nan,所以這個晚餐也未算太過杯具。其實我覺得如果我們點對了東西,整個體驗應該是不錯的。比如是兩個人或幾個好友在那邊聊天的話,應該是不錯。座位也非常舒服和寬敞。而且我們走的時候還有很多印度人在等位子。如果印度人都會來吃的餐廳,理應不會差到哪裡去。可能在未來我還會去試試看,但是短期內可能需要消化這次經歷之後才會有再次去試的勇氣。

與三位友好相約於這晚相聚,新春期間,大家都想食些特別的另類食物,結果就選擇了印度菜。這晚我最早到達,就坐下開定紅酒等她們,待她們到達後才點了幾款食品分甘同味。智利紅酒,開樽後放半小時享用也覺可以,酒身雖然不算厚,但有果香之餘不太酸,入口香而順滑,口感層次簡單,配咖喱和烤肉算是不錯。贈送的小食前菜,在印度的"白不"上放上小量的蕃茄粒,洋蔥粒,芫莤碎和青䓤碎,入口香甜,口感脆而清香。紅咖喱羊,汁醬較小,羊肉略為偏瘦,入口香味濃郁,口感微辣,只是羊肉有點鞋,但羶味不重,剛好食到羊味混和咖喱的香,配上紅酒,算是可接受。黃咖喱雞咀豆,這菜主要是食真醬汁,黃咖哩是印度咖喱的表表者,味道香濃而不太辣,配薄餅入口濃郁的茴香和咖哩味,令人回味無窮,雞咀豆雖然也有咬口,但頓時也只成為咖喱汁醬的配角。印度燒雞,傳統的印度菜,用傳統的香料醃制的雞,表面燒得十分香口,但雞肉就略嫌過火,入口味道香濃,可惜咬落雞肉有點柴,口感太粗糙。甜咖喱魚,用鮫魚柳做出的這道菜,魚柳肉結實不鬆散,是充分發揮了咖喱和魚的配合,咖喱非常香甜味美,而由於鮫魚柳有咬口的關係,另蘸滿咖喱的魚肉在口感上更有咬口,可更長時間去品嚐咖喱的香甜。

外貌似雪糕的印度糕點,表面用芒果蓉鋪上,中間是粉做的糕,底墊一片火龍果,入口有點黏稠的口感,味到不太甜,雖然個人並不太喜歡,但也不抗拒!
