I love Indian Cuisine so I decided to have dinner there with a friend. I heard about this restaurant before but how disappointed have we been all dinner long!First, when we arrived they seemed not to be in hurry to help us and after a while showed us vaguely our table with the hand.Finally seated we thought never be able to order. Finally seated we thought never be able to order. No one was taking care of us or paying any attention to us. When they decided to put interest on us we were apparently disturbing the guy. He looked to be upset and tired because of our questions.
Then, the cuisine wasnt very tasty, it was sad and boring....
First the dough of vegetable samosa was too hard to allow you to appreciate and eat them.
Porcha Yera Jheenga : They precise it is spicy.... perhaps the other times because for us they might have forgotten to put some....
The meat of my Chicken Vindaloo was gristly but fortunately the tandoori Murgh Tikka was okay.
But the cherry on the cake was the washroom. I always try them because the apperance of the toilets give you an idea of the kitchen's cleanliness. So I let you guess what was my impression.

No need to precise I will never go back there and hardy recommend against going in this restaurant!

Tandoori Murgh Tikka (6/10)
Tandoori chicken is probably one of the most recognised of all Indian dishes. The heat inside a proper tandoor is so intense that a whole marinated chicken can be baked in minutes to a succulent and moist finish, even thought very little oil or fat is used. The secret is to marinate the chicken at least 4 hours or ideally over night.
The chicken was grilled to perfection, dry on the outside, moist in the inside. It was greatly marinated.

Malai Jheenga Curry (3/10)
The prawn curr is considered a classic dish, and marinating seafood with a combination of salt and turmeric is characteristic of Bengali cooking.
The complementary sweetness of the prawns and coconut is contrasted with the heat and pungency of the chillies and mustard seeds. But the prawns were not fresh, which is essential for this recipe. And the prawns were over cooked.

Kurkure Khumb (5/10)
This dish was really authentic, the mushroom were marinated in a blend of spices and wrapper around something very crispy, very interesting. It was a perfect way to eat with the green chutney.

The food itself and the atmosphere were great. For that reason I will definitely come back. However, the staffs do not take great care of the diners, especially the manager. The diners were never centre of the services, I wonder what else?

Came here last night for the supermonday offer - came to $210 per head after discount. Here's a rundown: Tandoori Lamb Chops $212A very generous portion of four really juicy and tender lamb chops, double cut. That's pretty hard to come by in HK, where lamb rack seems to come in tiny plates at rather exorbitant prices. One small failing of this though was that the tandoori rub was far too intense - there was a lot of orange goo on the lamb, which I think made it a little too salty and intense.

Perfectly fine once I scraped it off.

Tandoori Chicken Tikka $118
Another very generous portion of 6-7 large pieces, and this time, flavoured perfectly. I'd get it again. It was great, but then again, I haven't had any chicken tikka that I didn't like, frankly.

Gosht Biryani $138
This came in an interesting urn-like bowl (weird) and was really good! Lots and lots of lamb pieces - almost too many, as we wanted to use the rice to mop the curry sauce and there wasn't much space left for the rice. The spices were fragrant and the rice was not too oily. Lamb was at times a bit dry, but nothing to complain about given there were so many big pieces to choose from. Maybe a tad pricey for the rice dish that we were hoping for, but given all the meat, price is justified.

Prawn curry (the first on the list of main courses, which I think was meant to have sesame flavour...forgot the name) $168
I simply loved the sauce on this one! Sweet, but not cloyingly so like Korma, with a very good element of fragrance spices, but none of the fiery chili heat. I don't like things too spicy, so this is an excellent choice if you're like me. Again, a very generous helping of prawns - there were easily 12-15 in there. They could have been juicier, but were of good size and flavour.

Service: Pretty good and professional service, no attitude, nothing to really comment on.

Environment: It looks to be an upmarket and modern Indian restaurant, which is good, but a disadvantage of that, as mentioned by other reviewers, is that it does get quite noisy in there. I would suggest the restaurant add some drapes or rugs to absorb some of the noise.

Tip: The portions really are not that small, so we probably overordered a little bit for two people (went a little crazy with the supermonday offer). Maybe get two mains and a starter to share next time.

We booked into Bombay Dreams on the recommendation of a friend. The food was great but the service was awful. We were seated next to a large table making a lot of noise. We could barely hear each other and so asked to move and were told all other tables were reserved. We then called over a man who appeared to be the manager and were told we could move to the next table but that all other tables were booked. We moved to the next table as the noise levels from the large table nearby were awful. Another group of diners were then seated at our previous table and shortly asked to move for the same reason and yet nothing was said to the problem table. To be fair the food was very nice but it was difficult to enjoy it given the noise. When the bill came we saw that service charge had been added and so called over the manager to request that it be taken off. No apology was offered and he simply acknowledged that the nearby table had been a problem, no apology was given. When we tried to provide feedback on why we were so annoyed (i.e - two tables had asked to be moved but the restaurant had said nothing to the problem table), the manager said nothing and walked off to adjust the bill. We would not go again due to the service. We fully appreciate that large tables tend to be noisy but there are ways and means of dealing with the situation. The restuarant failed to provide basic levels of good service.

LUNCH BUFFET都算幾好食, 款式唔算多, 不過食印度菜D味道最重要! 呢度幾款沙律, 幾款咖哩都好好食~ 我個人而言都好鍾意食印度餐, 呢度既食物都好重香料, 好正~ 我好欣賞buffet個湯, 辣辣地好特別好味~食物同環境都好好, 下次我會再嚟食既~如果去九龍區食, 我會推薦重慶大廈~馬X里! 又係好野 ^0^
