It was a bit cold all of a sudden and we craved something relatively heavier. This time we came to this branch in North Point to try out its Sichuan food. Seating was quite comfortable as it was quite new and clean. We were quite hungry and we ordered 3 lunch sets to share among the two of us. There was no service charge for lunch sets. A lunch set included a main dish, an appetiser, a bowl of rice and plum juice, which was quite a good value for money. You could top up your drinks to soft drink

A lunch set included a main dish, an appetiser, a bowl of rice and plum juice, which was quite a good value for money. You could top up your drinks to soft drinks by adding $5 or more special drinks by adding $8. And they were so considerate for Hong Kong people that there were options to choose non-spicy dishes. We had to place our orders on their app.

Very soon our appetisers and drinks arrived altogether. We were surprised that the drinks came in whole cans rather than glasses. The appetisers were cucumber in garlic oil/sauce, which were reasonably crunchy.

We chose 少辣 for 川式口水鸡. We found that the level of spiciness for this dish was quite good. The portion was quite big and the chicken was in reasonably good texture. The skin was super thin and the chicken was not so fatty. There were quite a few pieces of chicken legs. I also liked the nuts and spring onions added on top. This dish went super great with plain rice.

We asked for 走辣 for 酸菜鱼. Again, portion was so big. There were quite a lot of fish fillets in this big bowl and they were so fresh and tender! We were told that they were 鲈鱼. There were quite a lot of pickled cabbages too and some sliced mushrooms. Although we asked for 走辣, the dish was a little bit 麻. It was my first time to try 酸菜鱼 and it really left me quite a good impression.

We also asked for 走辣 and topped it up by $8 to get beef. Again this 牛肉香锅 was so big and there were loads of beef slices. The beef slices were so tender and rich in beef flavour. There were loads of lotus root slices, potato slices, cucumbers and bean sprouts which were slightly crispy to add texture. I also liked how they added loads of small 云耳 to the dish. Although it was not 麻辣, the whole thing was well seasoned and was quite delicious. This dish also went great with plain rice. Among the three dishes, I liked this one most!
With such food quality and portion, the lunch sets were quite good value for money.
