I had little expectation for this restaurant. Afterall, there are so many steak houses in HK that only knows how to look like a steakhouse but not cook like one.We had:Fried Calamari ~$100Linguine Vongole ~$1502Kilo 鸭巴甸400日谷饲牛扒 to share ~$700Both the calamari and Linguine are decent. We were take by suprise by the lage steak however.We ordered medium rare. Both the calamari and Linguine are decent. We were take by suprise by the lage steak however.

We ordered medium rare. It was served to us perhaps closer to southern french style, with vegetables in a deep dish, and not much else in terms of spices. The steak was about 1 1/2 thick, a nice thick cut quite good for HK because they always serve thin steaks here (Thin steaks are easier to cook and look larger).
The server cut open the steak, and perhaps it wasn't rested for too long a lot of juices still came out, but the temperature and doneness was controlled very well!
A red center with pink all around and a brown crisp on the outside. We thought it would be more like those mediocre restaurants but we were pleasantly surprised!
The steak was flavorful, unlike those steaks which only boasts of how fat they are, and it is juicy and tender. We were served with 2 mustard choices. It was quite a large steak, as there was 2 large guys and one girl having this steak, and we had quite a large portion and we were still only half way done. However, as with large steaks, it gets colds fairly quickly even with the hot dish it was served in. We requested that it be broiled a bit more to warm it up.
A good chat later the steak came back medium well, and the flavour was more intense. It was a different taste that resonates more of the fat and flavour of the steak. We were delight that the steak wasn't simply heated up but cooked again. Thank you for the server's good service by the way.

We will definitely come back, this time probably with 5 people. Very good steak done the way it should be done : macho thick, flavourful, tender, not much spices and sauces to distract.
