Anyway $30 is about right for some canned sweetcorn, zucchini, pork slices and a piece of tempura which means that the Butadon pork bowl at Dondonya Shokudo is way over priced.
Started off with the Jasmine tea and it was foul, it tasted like Jasmine toilet spray.
(The choices of drinks were the usual Chinese stuff which I do not like.)
Apart from the toilet spray, the pork was really good!!
Each slice of pork was evenly sliced, it was soft, lean and juicy and didn't have a charred taste nor was it too sweet.The vegetables were healthy because they were plainly boiled and unseasoned.
It was great how they did not put too much soy sauce on the rice and the side of chopped spring onions made the rice tastier.The vegetable tempura cake was a bit soft though but as a whole the portion size for everything was reasonable.
