I have visited this restaurant twice previously and it has become a new favourite of mine. I decided to return but it turns out to be a disappointing experience. We went there for lunch and ordered some pasta. However, no food was served for 45 minutes despite our repeated chaser. We asked the manager what is causing the hold up because we noticed the customers who came in later than us have their food served (In any case, taking 45 minutes to prepare is not acceptable). We went there for lunch and ordered some pasta. However, no food was served for 45 minutes despite our repeated chaser. We asked the manager what is causing the hold up because we noticed the customers who came in later than us have their food served (In any case, taking 45 minutes to prepare is not acceptable). The manager did not give any explanation but throughout the 45 minutes just kept reassuring us the food was being prepared. Interesting, the manager did not even go into the kitchen when telling us the food
was being prepared. We just felt that he did not care and just could not be bothered to check with the chef.
Obviously the food never came and we decided it is time to give up as there is no sign of food. The manager, even well aware of the situation and that the customers are leaving, did not even have the courtersy to apology. The manager simply ignored our move and pretended he has something more important to do (what could be more important when you have customers walking out of your restaurant?).
In order to give a more comprehensive review of the restaurant, we would add a few words about its food. We tried the carbonara pasta before and it was fairly good. the texture was al dante and the bread came along was very nice indeed. We think the best food of the reataurant was the bread. Slightly sweet but not overdone. The bread was also the reason why we wanted to come again.
it is a shame that the service is simply too slow for us to want to come back again. We hope the restaurant could look into the issue and they should learn that customer service is as important as the quality of the food.
