It was my friend’s gathering that I tagged along. Since my friend knows all about food so I just sit back and wait for all the good food to arrive. HA!Firstly there is this dish that is ribs but they do it with strawberry!! Never thought that strawberry would go so well with ribs! Firstly there is this dish that is ribs but they do it with strawberry!! Never thought that strawberry would go so well with ribs! It’s like sweet and sour mix together and that was such a nice combination.
Then, there goes the chicken. My friend told me that the soy sauce they used for this chicken is different from the ordinary one. Apparently the soy sauce they used is the first round of “brew” (just like the extra virgin in olive oil i guess). I might not understand how this soy sauce work but the fact is…. this chicken is indeed the best I have in town. Crispy skin, meat is cooked just right, not too raw, not over cooked, very juicy and on top of that that special soy sauce brings out the flavor of this dish. I have to say this soy sauce truly did the magic.
There are other vegetable dishes but I must mention one that is quite something I must say. It comes as a whole…. melon….!!! and this melon is no ordinary melon!!!! when it open up it’s in fact a bowl of soup!!!! OMG. Whoever thinks this up must be a genius!! Bowl of soup that you can eat the bowl as well? WOW. (OK I got told that this is a traditional Chinese dish, but still…..!!) I saw that there are a lot of ingredients in the soup. Soup is clear yet full of flavor. It’s so tasty that I couldn’t stop myself from having more HAHAHAHA.
Overall it’s a good night with some REALLY nice food! And it felt like a lesson for me to learn more about Chinese food. I will definitely tell my friends to try out some REAL Chinese food!!!
