My Singapore friends are coming over to visit me and i had a hard time thinking of places to bring them. I booked a table for 4 and it was located conveniently within walking distance from Prince Edward MTR.
As for the hotpot base, we can choose either cheese or spicy mala. As my friends do not really take spicy, we only ordered a large pot of cheese chicken hotpot.
Chicken cheese hotpot - After we have made our order, the waitress put a large hot of chicken in front of us. Cheese was not cooked yet and there were pieces of cheese on top of the chicken. Waitress advised us to let it cook for awhile before serving. He also advised us to finish off those chicken in the pot first before starting to put other dishes in. Chicken was tasty and soft, and eaten together with the melting cheese is heavenly.
哈哈虾中宝 - As a prawn lover, this dish really excites me. Quality prawn meat was pounded and crab roe was placed on top of the meat. Even after placing it into the hotpot, those meat never break off and remain intact. When i took a bite, i can taste that the prawn was really fresh and with the crab roe, it was like chewing some sweet.
鲜制四并饺 - These are 4 different kinds of hand-made dumplings: vegetables, prawn and meat etc. As the dumplings were served off the fridge, it took longer for it to cook. Even after cooking for so long, the skin of the dumplings never break off as well. Vegetables dumpling was ok, while the meat dumplings were quite fresh.
Crab meat - Their crab meat were not those typical that we can find in supermarkets, the texture was different. The crab meat was thicker and longer in size, and it was much more fresher.
As we feel like ordering some noodle, we ordered 1 packet of instant noodle. When cooked together with cheese hotpot, it just taste so differently. Fishball was fresh and crunchy as well, even though i was not sure if it was hand made.
Floris chocolate - When i last visited, there is no hand made beer. So when i saw there is chocolate beer, i immediately ordered one. It was easy to drink as i do not taste much alcohol and the content was not that high. The taste was orange sweet and has a fruity taste.
