We’ve been to Pane e Latte a few times now, and each time we have left with a feeling of great satisfaction. Set amongst the backdrop of beautiful Stanley, this is a must-try for anyone venturing out to the southern end of HK Island. You’ll be greeted by an extremely attentive and friendly collection of staff, who ensure all your needs are taken care of. The decor is very fitting given the theme of the restaurant and is an experience in itself. Although not as hot as we would have liked, the food was brought out and presented very nicely with great attention given to the menu to ensure a collection of well balanced and flavourful meals.
At Pane e Latte, you have the choice of an abundance of pre-prepared pastries and sweets in the cabinet, or an a la carte menu (or both).
We went for the a la carte menu and ordered the Spaghetti King Prawn and the Spaghetti Truffle Carbonara. The prawns were so flavourful and juicy, however a few more would be nice. The truffle spaghetti was very tasty and both dishes had perfectly al dente pasta. The flavour was well thought out and we thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. To finish we treated ourselves to a Lemon Bomboloni which was very tasty and contained a very fresh and decadent lemon curd.
Overall we had a great time and really recommend a stop at Pane e Latte. You’ll feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoy the ambience.
