First thing first, this is my first time with fancy afternoon tea (my usual afternoon tea is the cheap Cha Chan Ting kind) and so I can't reference it to any other places.
This is my second time trying to come here because I was naïve last time and didn't come to "queue" up at 1:30pm (for a Saturday) and it was already too full at 3pm. I think this is the biggest hurdle for this place in that you have to come and register at 1:30pm. Then you'll get assigned a time slot. I got assigned at 3:30pm (but eventually they called at 3pm instead). Just give your name and phone number then you can walk around first. I think this is a bit much of a wait just for afternoon tea - but hey, I ended up waiting (mainly because my wife really wanted to lol )
The restaurant is as the name suggested right at the hotel lobby. One thing I'm a bit surprised was that you usually see very well lid interior in photos online, but it was a bit dim in real life. Not that it's a bad thing but just surprised for the difference from photo.
We were seated at one end of the hall, right next to Van Cleef & Arpels shop. To my back on the mezzanine is a live music band which consists of violin, flute and a bass instrument (not sure what). I think because we are right next to them the sound is a bit too loud at times; you can still talk but still....
What we ordered;
Well, as mentioned we ordered the set, and Spiced Tea (vanilla, caramel, cloves, cinnamon, orange petals) and Peach and Ginger Oolong Tea - a bit exotic I know, but I want to try them out. The spiced tea is served with milk (separate container). They come in nice thick container which keep the heat very well, and a separate hot water container for you to refill yourself. Packets of sugar are available if you want. Now, the tea taste amazing. I was a bit worried on spiced tea if the spice will be too strong, but it turned out to be mild it's nice blend - cloves and cinnamon are the leading flavour and you can really taste a bit of orange-ish taste (to be honest I can't feel the caramel). The oolong tea is quite mild too. I think this depends on preference but I like it when tea is not way too strong when it's being brewed in the pot for a long time. Any time I go to have dim sum, I always need to add more water each time because the tea pot is way too strong. I think peach and ginger is a nice combo to oolong but at the same time, it's nothing amazing about them.

The snacks are served in a tower of 3 layers. The bottom layer is Raisin Scones. We got 4 of them and honestly this is already enough if you're having this as an afternoon tea. These are served with clotted cream, and strawberry jam (sorry no photos!). The scones are spot on in my opinion - a bit crummy on the outside and soft and moist and soft in the inside (sometimes I got scones that are all crummy and that's bad). Nothing so special about clotted cream, and strawberry jam though (not great not bad).

The second layer are a bunch of savoury fingers food - Cucumber Sandwich, Avocado & Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken & Cheese Sandwich, and Bacon [Quiche?] (can't remember, too many things in one setting). The cucumber sandwich is nice according to my wife. I am personally biased on this one, but it is very refreshing and not mush at least (that's the problem with most sandwich because bread can get soggy from all the wet ingredients). Avocado & shrimp cocktail is amazing. These 2 things pair with each other quite well. The only one thing I will complain is it's a bit too salty - because I didn't have too much sandwich I had 2 of these and it got too salty at one point (good thing that's the tea is for!). Chicken sandwich is a bit underwhelming compared to others. It's chicken ham with some weird cheese; it's also a bit salty too. Bacon quiche (I think) is alright. It has very strong bacon flvaour which is quite interesting (given how little bacon it has).
The top layer are a bunch of dessert (I can't really remember a lot of these because I normally don't eat dessert) - Macaron, Tofu [Ricotta?] Cheese, [Passion Fruit?] Cake, and Chocolate [Ganache?]. Out of these four, I like the tofu cheese and passion fruit cake the best. Tofu is very springy, soft and refreshing. It is mildly flavoured which is very nice. The only downside is it is sandwiched on 2 pieces of biscuits and because tofu is extremely soft biting through biscuits a very hard to not completely mess-up the tofu. Passion fruit cake is also very nice as it is not too sweet and has sour to compliment the overall taste. Chocolate ganache and macaron are extremely sweet. I'm not a fan of overly sweet dessert and I'm maybe biased. The Ganache has a hint of citrus fruit (I think it's either orange or some berries). It'll be nicer if it's not this sweet. Macaron is quite standard.
So we spent about 2 hours at this place. It was a surprised really that I spent so much time in one place, but that also mean the experience is nice enough for it. There're way tooooo much food, but we can also take the left over back home (of course it won't be as good as eaten fresh). I will let you decide by yourself if all these worth the HKD748 (+ 10% SC), but honestly for me - one time is probably enough.
