We went Cafe Boombine on a Sun afternoon. I ordered (자장면) the black bean sauce noodles and ginseng tea. My husband ordered a set lunch (갈비찜) beef rib stew with coffee.I've to say this is one of the most authentic Korean food I've had in HK. The black bean sauce noodles that I tried in other restaurants in HK are rather salty and they usually taste like the black bean taste that you can get from the Korean supermarket in HK. The black bean sauce noodles that I tried in other restaurants in HK are rather salty and they usually taste like the black bean taste that you can get from the Korean supermarket in HK. But the black bean sauce noodles served in Cafe Boombine is obviously homemade. Same as the beef rib stew - it's very tender.
The ginseng tea is worth the money. You can tell they blended the real ginseng into juice. The coffee was just ok but the rest were good.
I will certainly go back and try something else.
