Toast Box probably introduced kaya cake to Hong Kong and they make by far the best ones. I am a suck up for its pandon flavor and lime green food coloring. The sponge cake is very fluffy and light. Maxim’s has a pretty good imitation of it but is denser and cakier. It is probably more buttery as well as it always leaves my fingers greasy, an aspect I don't like. Today, I got this chocolate bread and a "yeen yeung" (combo of coffee and milk tea) as well. The bread has real chocolate chips in it

It's a perfect to-go breakfast food. The drink is not bad either but definitely not worth the wait. I was in line for over 15 minutes when there were merely 5 people in front of me!
