Last, last Saturday on the 10th of March, 2007, I visited Jack's with my friend, Charlie Brown.... well, we had to leave "Snoopy" behind with his dog food coz dogs r not allowed in this restaurant... poor Snoopy... :cSo, below is the Weekender & Holiday Set Lunch:Soup of the Day/ Salad of the Day/ Antipasti of the DayPlus one of the followings:1. Soup of the Day/ Salad of the Day/ Antipasti of the Day
Plus one of the followings:
1. Pizza of the Day - 9" personal pizza selection with pepperoni/ super Hawaiian/ funghi or margherita (HK$65-)
2. Pasta of the Day - Selection of al pesto/ funghi/ carbonara/ capuliata or griadiniera (HK$65-)
3. Curry (Lamb/ beef or chicken) of the Day (HK$75-)
4. Vegetable Lasagne - Lasagne with baked eggplant and zucchini, topped with ricotta cheese (HK$75-)
5. Swiss Burger - 8 oz. beef burger with sauteed mushrooms, onions, gruyere cheese, served with house fries and a garden salad (HK$85-)
6. Chicken Parmigiana - served with baked eggplant and tomato sauce (HK$85-)
7. Veal Escalope - Pan fried veal filet served with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables (HK$95-)
8. Grilled Filet of Sole - Grilled filet of sole with cream of tarragon sauce, served with pasta & vegetables (HK$95-)
9. Braised Lamb Shank - Served with mashed potato and sauteed spinach (HK$105-)
10. Roasted Beef Tenderloin Skewer - Roasted beef tenderloin skewer served with roasted potatoes, garden vegetables and red wine sauce (HK$105-)

House Dessert & Coffee/ Tea
Charlie Brown (CB) chose the "Lamb Shank" while I had the "Beef Tenderloin". We had Apple Crumble for dessert too... quite good as it's not too sweet for both of us!
Both my friend and i were amazed at the quality of the food for its quality & reasonable price
The music is great coz they were playing some european music & CB, as a native french, commented those were REAL french musique... & how surprising it is as this is a placed managed solely by Chinese people~~!!
Well, we found out the reason later - the young guy who works here is an eurasian who looks 85% Chinese to us - but in fact, he's half french & half chinese... that explains
nice staff, good food, chic music for less than HK$120- per person - good recommendation from my lovely friend, CB
OH... my goodness~~!!
I just got an sms from CB that he fell sick & is alone at home... okay, i shall bring him some medicine & lozenges this evening after work... as a "thank-you-gift" for taking me to this dim blue-lighted restaurant near Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong.
