So this is test number 2 in the search of the best cheese egg sandwich in HK! And now, finally I can start making comparisons. Today I tried the first place I found on my way from the MTR to my office. I went in and followed the same drill as last time (check my previous review for more details hahaha). This time though the cooking process was really fast, like, lighting speed fast and in about 1 minute I was already paying. Cost: 15HKD (That is 1HKD more than first place). So, was that extra HK

I went in and followed the same drill as last time (check my previous review for more details hahaha). This time though the cooking process was really fast, like, lighting speed fast and in about 1 minute I was already paying. Cost: 15HKD (That is 1HKD more than first place). So, was that extra HK dollar worth it? Absolutely... NOT.
Ok, the sandwich was edible, but there were many points where this sandwich lost completely against last week's one.
- Egg: Less of it, thiner and less juicy. - Cheese: Processed cheese (if you can call that cheese), which makes it too creamy and does not give any texture neither had that nice melting elasticity...
- Bread: Ok, the bread was more or less the same as the previous one.
- Packing: Whereas last week I received a nice plastic sandwich packing, today it was just inside a plastic bag. Ok, I know, I eat it on my way so packing is not that important, but if you plan on carrying for a few minutes on your bag, it may matter.
So the results are:
Rating: 4/10 (Just a bit better than the stuff you will get in Cafe de Coral)
Value for money: 4/10 (It was more expensive than last week one and worse...)
Gwailo friendly: 1/10 (I ordered using my Cantonese rehearsed sentences hahahaha, I don't see a way to do this in English since there is no English menu and selling lady does not seem to speak English at all). In any case, I give it a point because it is conveniently located.
Let's hope for a better 3rd one. This one is a no go.
