After many many years in Central, Jollibee has been undergoing a bit of an expansion. First it was another shop in Central, then Mong Kok! And now? North Point! Boyfriend and I ordered two sets. One was two pieces of chicken and fries ($43). The other was one drum stick and spaghetti ($48).
The chicken was top notch. Coating was crispy. Meat was moist and tender. This is much better than KFC in Hong Kong. The fries were crispy enough but McDonald's does a much better fry. The chicken comes with gravy which tasted a bit like chicken.
The spaghetti on the other hand was pretty disgusting. Pasta was soggy to point of being mush. The sauce was weak. I wasn't expecting much but I kind of hoped it would at least be edible. My tip is to stick to only the chicken and stay away from the pasta combo.
I recall there was a vermicelli combo? I remember ordering this at the original Central branch. Is it only served at that one? It seems the other branches I've visited do not have this on their menu. Am I mistaken? Or is this no longer on their menu? Or that one branch exclusive?
Anyways, stick to the chicken. A lot better than KFC if you want fast food fried chicken. This branch is pretty clean and with plenty of seats. Will be back if lack of things to eat.
