After meeting up with my clients at Tai Hang, I wandered around the street for my lunch. Since my wife was not around and she does not have a liking for ramen, this was the perfect opportunity for me to eat ramen again. After some chat with the owner, i realized it was operated by a Chinese couple thus it was kind of a fusion of Chinese style ramen. The menu was quite similar to those Japanese ramen stall, selling ramen and snacks etc. Their set lunch was very affordable as it was only priced at $63 and consisted of ramen, dumpling and drinks.

Honey barley drink - The chef told me that this was home made and very healthy. He was very generous with the barley seeds and it was chewy. The drink was sweet, but i do not taste much honey though.

Pork ramen - This is their signature ramen. The soup broth was cooked using pork bone for 24 hours and does not contain any MSG. They proclaim that it was very healthy. The soup does not taste as strong and thick as the Japanese version and it was clear. Pork was soft and tender. Texture of the noodles was slightly soft.

Black pepper ox tongue - It was one of the better dishes here. It was cooked with black pepper seasoning and it was flavourful. The meat was tender and chewy, but it will be better if it was not cooked for too long.

Dumplings - The chef told me that every single piece of dumpling was hand made. The dumplings were being pan fried and 2 types of vegetable dumplings were available. It was not those typical Japanese gyoza, but those northern China version of dumplings. The skin was crispy and soft and the fillings were fresh.
