This restaurant seems to be popular with both locals and expats in the area. During our dinner we saw a few takeaway orders too. The food is just as good as the Central branch, but its location and atmosphere (open air) just make it more cozy. Felt a litttle bit like being in Bangkok. We started off with an appetizer platter (choice of 3 or 5 items) with satay, fish cake and chicken wrapped in leaves. The satay was the best - loved the sauce which was creamy and nutty. For mains we had the following:
Red Curry - the sauce was rich and creamy without being too spicy.
Steamed whole snapper - it was a big fish so good to share with a few people. The fish was fresh and blended well in the special sauce.
Pad Thai - I found their version here lighter and less oily than other places - recommended!
Overall the service was friendly and polite, typical Thai style. The food was also of high quality. The price may be relatively high compared to other Thai restaurants in Hong Kong, but is still reasonable given its quality and location.
