Giando is an Italian restaurant located on Star Street in Wan Chai. The head chef and owner used to be a chef at Isola, and he ventured out to open Giando. Giando is a modern fine dining Italian restaurant, with a variety of pasta and meat dishes. The restaurant began with bread basket once we sat down. After we have made the order, the restaurant provided a complimentary starter.
Each of us ordered a pasta dish to start and then followed by a meat dish.
I ordered their seasonal veal truffle tagliatelle to start. The chef came out to our table to shave the truffle on to my dish. He was so generous with the truffle that I cannot even see the pasta underneath. The aroma of truffle smelled amazing and the pasta was al-dente. Quite an amazing pasta dish.
After the pasta, I ordered an Angus steak with potato. They suggested the steak to be prepared in Medium- rare. Beef was very tender and very juicy.
For the dinner we also ordered two bottles of Red wine from Tuscany.
The food was quite amazing, price was also reasonable. The wine was quite expensive there, if without wine, the food there should be quite reasonable.
