We started off with a drink from the bar. I had a staff-recommended N10, which is a mocktail (pineapple, carrot, ginger, lemon). It was a refreshing drink after a long day of work. The atmosphere of the restaurant is just right to wind down and connect with people.
Our first dish is the Scallop & Gazpacho. From the looks of it, it wasn’t that much of a wow-factor. However once you dive in, the taste draws you in making you want more.
Then, we were served Hummus, vege and egg. It’s the food that reminds Overseas hustlers the feeling of home. Perfect way to induce calmness and familiarity.
Salchipapas is my personal favourite. Don’t judge a book by its cover. these little cubes are match made in heaven with home-made celeriac hash browns, topped with a taste maximising unique blend of toppings.
After a short break, we were served Both Ribs and Burnt End Fried Rice. The fried rice consist of 3 different types of rice, very nutritious. The ribs are in a generous sharing portion and cooked the perfection. I absolutely admire the chef’s detail orientation that the side dish of sweet potato was not compromised. I highly recommend this.
We ended the course with a dessert in the end. The ice cream was good, it adds a perfect sweetness to finish off. However we waited more than 30 minutes for the final dessert and the presentation was a bit off as seen in this picture. Otherwise it would have been cherry on top.
Throughout the dining experience, the staff has been courteous and friendly. She also explained to us the special ingredients used in making these unique dishes. I would give an overall of 4/5, kudos to the service, restaurant vibe, and satisfying meal course.
