Another hole in the wall down an alley near office serving Taiwanese cuisine. I picked the least adventurous dishes on my initial visits, ordering their 药膳鸡配汤米线. The broth was decent but the chicken was bland and overcooked. The server asked me how did I find it, I suggested to her that they may consider simply dipping the chicken (which was cooked anyway) in the broth right before service for reheat purposes only to keep its tenderness. She seemed to have taken my advice but apparently she did

The server asked me how did I find it, I suggested to her that they may consider simply dipping the chicken (which was cooked anyway) in the broth right before service for reheat purposes only to keep its tenderness. She seemed to have taken my advice but apparently she didn’t convey it back to the kitchen. The chicken was the same on my second and third visit. So I decided to give their other dishes a go recently and WOW, aren’t they goooood 🥹 I tried their 古早葱油咸香鸡肶肉燥当配糖心蛋 and 点子炸鸡配汤肉燥新竹米粉跟台式肠片. The chicken thigh was flavourful, incredibly tender and succulent. The fried chicken pieces that came with the rice noodles were also fried to perfection, with a nice crunchy exterior. Price points are decent too - about $66-70 per lunch set with a drink. Will definitely keep coming back for their wider selection of lunch options 🙂↔️
