Bread Street is one of the places that my boy and I both like. I happened to be a big fan of Gordon Ramsay’s programs, in particular Master Chef. I still recall my boy bringing me to Bread Street the second day it opened in Hong Kong (and sadly we were told by a waiter at that time that Gordon Ramsay had just flew back to UK)...I heard of many negative feedback on this restaurant these years – but I still like to come back, because I personally find this place quite cozy for good chats and fairl
I heard of many negative feedback on this restaurant these years – but I still like to come back, because I personally find this place quite cozy for good chats and fairly nice food.
Best all-time favourites in this restaurant are the Sesame Seared Yellowfin Tuna and Sea Bass Carpaccio as appetizers (both topped with avocado paste – my fav!). The raw fish is nice and searing is done well – no disappointment here this time!
All good (at least fairly…) Here comes one thing I am really disappointed about is the service. They tried hard to keep up with the friendly standard so far as the ordinary ordering is concerned. But when I booked for that night, I actually came up with some funny (and I’d say unusual) birthday surprises idea which needed cooperation with the restaurant, and the waitress(es) were taken by surprise and never replied to my request, nor took any extra steps so far as I was aware of - not even a single response. That was really upsetting.
Although I am still contented with food here, I will definitely reconsider if this place worth my little love complex...
