Tonight I have dinner with my familes in a restaurant specializes in Sichuan spicy chicken hotpots(鸡煲)& spicy fish(水煮活烤鱼) called "Lucky food"(有口福) located in Nga Tsin Wai road, Kowloon city.We ordered a signature spicy chicken hotpot(香辣鸡煲)with half bird(HKD$158/半只) while whole bird costs(HKD$158/全只).Customers can either choose spicy(香辣)or piquant(i.e.hot&numb)(麻辣)for the soup base of the chicken hotpot.Customers can also choose the degree of spiciness of hotpots according to their preferences.Th

Customers can either choose spicy(香辣)or piquant(i.e.hot&numb)(麻辣)for the soup base of the chicken hotpot.

Customers can also choose the degree of spiciness of hotpots according to their preferences.
There are high/medium/low levels of spiciness to choose from.

We choose low spicy level for the chicken hotpot.

The deliciously nice aormatic peppery fragrance of the chicken hotpot makes me mouth watering when it is served.I cant wait to dive in


When I tasted the first bite of the chicken,Wooooooooooo!!!There is a carnival ocurring in my mouth!

The intense flavours of various Chinese Sichuan spices.i.e.the star anise,peppers,flesh coriander!spring onion,secret formula sauces & cone pepper which give you a kick and arouse your taste buds!!"

We also ordered extra ingredients for the chicken hotpot.

There are around a hundred of hotpot ingredients for customers to choose from such as seafoods,beef,pork,veges,mushrooms,intestines,tofu,noodle...etc.

We ordered:
Augus beef cubes(HKD$108)
Trio Hand made seafood balls(HKD$88)
octopus tenticles(HKD$45)
Ox stomach(HKD$45)
cabbage(HKD$30)
Sweet potato vermicelli/noodles(HKD$30)

The Augus beef cubes have intense beefy flavours,firm and have bites.As the cubes are quite chunky,they need more time to cook.But worth to wait.

Trio hand-made seafood balls(4 shrimp balls,4 cuttlefish balls & 4 minced dace balls)are manually home made.They are very bouncy,springy.

These seafood balls are different from those fish balls made by flour/starch.

These seafood balls made by abundance of ingredients.You can taste small cubes of shrimps,cuttlefishes .

There are crab roes added into the shrimp balls while I even taste a very small fish bone fragment inside the fish ball.

The octopus tenticles and Ox stomach are crunchy and have bites.Both of them are quite large portions which are value for money.

I highly recommend all the customers to order noodles for the hotpots.

These noodles act as sponge soak up all the essences of the ingredients and flavours of the soup base.

The noodles glazed and covered by the rich,thick,flavourful soup.superbbbbbbb.

The beers here are very cheap.How can you without beer when have hotpots!
