Osteria Marzia is a seafood centric restaurant that presents the vibrant and diversified flavours along the Italian coastline. Pairing the fluffy sourdough with anchovy was an appetising combination but it could easily become too salty. So my tip for this is to spread more butter between them to balance the saltiness.

I absolutely loved the charred octopus with crispy outer and soft flesh. Using the accompaniments capers, caponata and tomatoes have provided nice acidity and texture to the dish.

The scallops are star themselves with maximum freshness. To me it is uncommon to prepare the scallops by coating them with a crispy layer, but that turned out surprisingly good and constituted interesting layers.

The spotlight of this dish is definitely on the Brontë pistachios. They did their job to form a luscious earthy paste together with the anchovy. However, as the major flavour point, the taste of pistachio was rather bland. The balance was off and the paste was rendered too salty, probably due to over addition of anchovy.

The sauce was quite flavourful and I could taste the umami from the tiger prawn. The minus of this dish was the texture of the gnocchi. It was a bit too soggy and I personally prefer more chewiness.

The fish was prepared to an uncompromising standard with moisture sealed under the skin. All the goodness rest in the broth which reminded me of the Portuguese Cataplana. The taste of tomatoes aside, the broth has an eminent ocean brininess but still holds subtle sweetness. Very scrumptious. As verdure, the fish was accompanied by broccolini and zucchini fitti. They were unfortunately a bit too salty.

The fruity version of tiramisu was quite a refreshment after the heavy meal. Definitely loved the sweet acidity from the generous amount of berries and the limoncello.
