Finally got to come back to this restaurant since my friend needs to go back to the nearby university for some course during the weekend!Anyway, this restaurant is famous for their set lunch menu and honestly, we both went for the sort of cheaper set lunch - $95 which consists of soup, bread, salad, main course and coffee/tea1) First came the salad: as you can see, there's an egg, some ham, some typical salad and veggies. Anyway, this restaurant is famous for their set lunch menu and honestly, we both went for the sort of cheaper set lunch - $95 which consists of soup, bread, salad, main course and coffee/tea
1) First came the salad: as you can see, there's an egg, some ham, some typical salad and veggies. Indeed, the salad is very good and tastes very nice and fresh.
2) Next came the bread: we got to choose either garlic bread or normal bread. Of course, we all went for garlic bread. The garlic bread was again nicely marinated with garlic and tasted so nice! Yummy!
3) As for the soup, we both went for vegetable soup and it was just ok. It had this slightly spicy taste, but that didn't make it any better in particular.
4) For main course, I went for the fish and my friend went for the Portuguese beef with rice.
My dish had fish, some potatoes and veggies and that was it. In fact, the fish was so disappointing! It was some kind of fillet anyway and it was horrible! There wasn't enough sauce and the potatoes were just bland! I can't believe the restaurant didn't even care to make the potatoes taste better!
As for my friend, he went for the Portuguese beef with rice and it tasted alright.
Anyway, as for coffee/tea, I went for Horlick (warm) and he went for cold milk tea. Again, typical drinks, but they made the Horlick very nice, not too sweet and service was very efficient!
All in all, it's not a bad restaurant, but I seriously think the food quality needs to be improved. After all, they're charging $95 for a main course. It's not exactly good for value when it doesn't taste that nice.
