I haven't been to Ritz for afternoon tea for some time but their recent Gianvito Rossi Ribbon afternoon tea caught my eye and I came to try it.Their scones are great as usual but I love their fig jam a lot, which is not that common at other restaurants.The hot chocolate was rich though it was not as rich as Junon's.After we have almost finished out scones, the tea set finally came and it looked amazing with the view at the back.For the savoury, the shrimp cheese roll was my favorite. After we have almost finished out scones, the tea set finally came and it looked amazing with the view at the back.
For the savoury, the shrimp cheese roll was my favorite. However, the most surprising dish was the formagio sphere. I am not really a cheese person and I didn't enjoy it the first bite. However, my sphere accidentally touched some of the fig jam and the sphere became really good. It still retained the strong flavor of the cheese without being pungent. I think they really should recommend the customers to pair up these two.
The desserts were quite well balanced, with 2 that were more on the tarty side and 2 that were on the sweeter side so eat them alternatively.
Service was great as usual. They helped us adjust our tea set for a great angle for photos and also helped us take our group photo as well.
