The amenities of this place are not good. Let's start with that. But I'm sure you want to read about the food, so let's talk bout the food. We ordered the chicken roll, roast suckling pig, Hungarian oxtail soup, and some bread. All were good - not excellent, but good. The bread, well, actually that was very good.. very crispy and I think it was layered and flakey. What I was extremely disappointed in, was their lack of certain things.1. What I was extremely disappointed in, was their lack of certain things.
1. I asked them to please give some hot water for my pregnant wife. They said sorry, we don't have hot water. I was like what? How do you not have hot water? My wife is pregnant. They said you can order a lemon water. Well what if my wife could not have lemon? Will you really force us to order still water, then boil it, then give it to her? I've NEVER had this refused to me, no matter how fancy or how dingy a restaurant I have been to. For a place priding itself being fancy, that service seems absolutely mind-boggling for me.
2. When the bread came, nothing came with it. I said do you have butter? they said they didn't have butter, but they have olive oil and vinegar. Why didn't you bring this to me when I ordered the bread? Why should I need to ask for this?
3. For a place priding itself on its ambience, it didn't really look like a swiss chalet place. The setting wasn't anything fancy, napkins were just regular paper napkins... nothing fancy, really. It was a bit overpriced.
Overall, the food was good, the ambience was ok, amenties or lack of, were disappointing.
