Once in a while, I crave for a hot bowl of ramen or tsukemen. Heard some good things about this tsukemen place hidden somewhere near HKU station. Got a chance finally when I was nearby. prawn soup tsukemen

Love to see the shining orange colour in the broth. Got a strong seafood fragrance. Generous amount of noodles. I did request warm noodles as i want to avoid noodles sticking to each other. Two slices of cha siu and one soft boiled egg hidden underneath.

The broth is rich! BUT not thick, concentrate enough. So maybe not in my interpretation of tsukemen should be. I feel like this is a ramen but they serve the noodles on side. I finished whole broth without adding any hot water at the end.

Cha siu is tender. Soft boiled egg is great! I do like the texture of the noodles. Wish the broth is thicker to “hang” on the noodles better.

Overall, it’s a not bad place for some noodles in good flavour. But for me, it’s not really tsukemen.

Btw, the staff who took my order was lovely. A warm little place
