甜品编 陈克勤 probably came past this shop since its opening because 1 day last week when I popped in, they have suddenly started selling some 'Brests' which weren't there previously. Not only that, they also introduced more French 'saveurs', including Basque Cakes, a Cake with 5 Chocolates, Citron Tarts, etc, on top of what they already carried before such as Eclairs, Pain au Chocolat, Croissant and some savouries.PARIS BREST - This resembles an Eclair Pastry 'texturally', but in the form of a ring

PARIS BREST -
This resembles an Eclair Pastry 'texturally', but in the form of a ring much like a doughtnut. Its filled with a velvelty Hazelnut Buttercream / Praline and topped with roasted nuts. This is actually a very attractive afternoon tea pastry dessert and I don't recall seeing this anywhere else locally, except Beard Papa (that version is more like a 'cruller' and the cream is completely a different story, here its much smoother!). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
CROISSANT -
I ordered this to go with my coffee bought from another place on another occasion. Here the pastry top looks really lovely and it has a very yeasty and dough smell, reminding me of sausages. When I started biting in, it was probably 'proved' a little bit too long before baking as it was hollow rather than rolled in layers. This cow has probably suffered a bit from Bovine 'Spongiform' Encephalopathy!
COFFEE -
Had a Cappucino and this was ok and drinkable. Its very approachable for everyone, perhaps like Starbucks coffee in a way but with Italian undertones. I guess Starbucks is successful because its actually not bad, so I think this got the job done here!
CARAMBAR -
I caught sight of these when I was about to leave, they're probably only given to either good or nosy customers like me Truth be told I did try to find these locally but haven't really located them yet, so I guess these are imported by Saveur de France themselves? No bubblegum version though.
*************
ALTHOUGH I HAVEN'T YET TRIED MOST OF THEIR OFFERINGS, I ACTUALLY QUITE LIKE THIS SHOP FOR WHAT IT IS, RATHER THAN WHO WORKS WITHIN, OR OWNS THE SHOP. AT LEAST ITS UNIQUE AND RARE! AS A SIDE NOTE, I'M NOT SURE WHY 'VOYAGER' AROUND THE CORNER NEVER OPENS ANYMORE. AM I RIGHT TO ASSUME THE GUYS FROM THERE MOVED TO HERE?
