This was my first time going to TKO in a decade and I desperately needed quick Jap fix in the area after an entire day of work (/being “tortured” by my boss😩). Found this new Jap/fusion resto on Openrice and I decided to give it a try!They have quite a decent menu with a wide variety of items including yakitori, sushi rolls, salads and various mock tails that are good for work nights. They have quite a decent menu with a wide variety of items including yakitori, sushi rolls, salads and various mock tails that are good for work nights. I like the innovative ways they twist the classics, like the spicy tempura shrimp rolls, the teriyaki foie gras claypot rice and panna cotta in Japanese style. The former strikes a good balance between the fried tempuras and the sushi had a really nice grip. The second was foie gras rice cooked in HK claypot style, and the diced apple chunks perfectly balanced out the greasiness of the foie gras. Both taste delicious! I’d also recommend their fried chicken which was done very well with crispy skin and tender & juicy chicken meat on the inside 👍🏻
