Laduree is perhaps one of the most famous macaon makers in the world. Their Champs-Élysées patisserie has long queues of tourists and local Parisians, waiting to buy boxes of macarons. When I was in Paris, I think I bought a couple of macarons from them almost every day as my hotel was near one of their branches.

Seeing as I had more than an hour before my brow styling appointment, I needed a place to sit around. As I was talking my hairstylist about macarons, I had this sudden craving for macarons. The Times Square branch has a tea room where you can order tea or coffee, macarons or cakes and if you close your eyes for a minute, you'd can pretend your in Paris. Well...until the noise from Times Square wakes you up again.

The Melange Special Laduree. ($45). Majority of their teas cost $45 and all come in a pot. I decided on the Laudree signature blend tea which is basically a black tea with citrus, flowers, spices and vanilla. The taste was not very strong though there was a faint hint of citrus and vanilla.

Pistachio Financier ($27) and Cherry Blossom Macaron ($26). The financier was very  good. Moist and buttery with a strong pistachio flavor. It didn't crumble apart when I cut it with my fork.

Cherry Blossom macaron was their current seasonal flavor and one I hadn't tried yet (and yes...I have tried every single flavor). This is perhaps my favorite flavor yet (right after rose petal). The flavor was intense and not too sweet. The texture of the macaron was perfect. Delicate egg shell-like crispiness that crumbled perfectly into my mouth. The cherry blossom ganache was smooth and delicately flavored. Perhaps one of their best flavors to date.

The only thing with the tea room is that it's located as a kiosk like area in the middle of Times Square. That makes it super noisy. Service was friendly and the staff smiled constantly. But since the place is super noisy due to the mall atmosphere, I think I'd only return for takeaway.
