Surprisingly juicy and flavorful vegetarian pork bun! I have always known about this restaurant several years ago but could never try it because there are not much vegetarian options. Thanks to Omnipork by Green Monday, there’s finally a vegetarian friendly shanghai style pork bun! It is served very hot and very juicy with each bite. It is juicy enough to see the juice spill out from the bun to your spoon. The taste is flavorful and natural and does not taste artificial like other imitation meat

The taste is flavorful and natural and does not taste artificial like other imitation meat I have tried before. The wrapping is green as spinach juice is added. Smart way to distinguish it from the regular pork buns.
The price is very friendly and I hope it stays the same in the future. $20hkd for 2 buns; no service charge or tea charge. The only thing I would criticize is the tight space and I was told to change tables after I ordered and I was squished between two different groups of people, sitting with strangers on the left, right and in front of me, as I was only by myself. It made me wanted to leave ASAP.
As I was there, I noticed at least two other tables purposely visited here to try out this vegetarian bun. I look forward seeing more vegetarian innovation from this restaurant. Perhaps they can add a vegetarian tam tam noodle? (It’s available in other vegetarian restaurants too.) This will open a new population of customers like me to visit more often.
