After a vigorous game of Dodgeball, my friend and I decided to grab a late night snack in Happy Valley. We chose Yakitoritei because it was conveniently located on Happy Valley's main street, next to Hang Seng Bank and directly opposite Watson's Wine Cellar. We entered the small restaurant at 11:30pm, and were pleased to find that there was a special late night menu:$10-12 per stick was an excellent bargain, so we ordered the following:* Chicken with Onion* Crispy Chicken Joint Soft Bone* Beef

We entered the small restaurant at 11:30pm, and were pleased to find that there was a special late night menu: $10-12 per stick was an excellent bargain, so we ordered the following:
* Chicken with Onion
* Crispy Chicken Joint Soft Bone
* Beef Fillet with Salt
* Special Pork Sausage
* Duck Breast with Onion
* Cherry Tomato Wrapped with Bacon
* Baby Corn
* Eggplant Overall, the food was good. Some minor critiques are that the US Fillet wasn't very juicy, and may have tasted better if grilled with some butter; the bacon could have had more flavor to better balance the sweet tomato, and the special pork sausage could have been grilled a little longer to give it more robust texture, as it was rather soft. If you don't mind a little fat, I'd definitely recommend the Duck Breast w/ Onion -it tasted sooooo good! (We ordered another two sticks becuz it was so delicious) Every bite brought out wonderful juicy flavor, and the tender meat balanced well with the firm grilled onion. The Chicken w/ Onion was also very good as there was contrast: the outer skin was crispy and the inner meat was soft with flavor.
If you want a good late night meal/deal, then you should consider Yakitoritei.
