This Fairwood is always packed with crowds. Elderly like spending their time during morning and tea time with their grandchildren and partners, housewives took a rest after going to the wet market! What a scene one can witness pace of grassroot lives over here!I opt for Fairwood tea than other fast food chains for many reasons, one of which is its local noodles!Look at the noodles with fried egg and luncheon meat below! I opt for Fairwood tea than other fast food chains for many reasons, one of which is its local noodles!
Look at the noodles with fried egg and luncheon meat below! They serve you no overcooked noodles, but one pack with running hot water, placing on top the fried egg just right with egg yolk in liquid state, and covered the bowl with a plastic lip thing.. that's it! No rush for enjoying your tea break.. the noodles with texture between chewy and balancely cooked take me about 3 minutes before it's ready to eat. To start with, I'd cut open the egg yolk and let it flow.. when it diffuses into the soap and dances with the noodles, it enriches the smooth flavour of the noodles! Many local "cha-chen-ting" nearby just missed the point of choosing the most appealing noodles, probably for the cost, or for catering majority's flavour.. if so, what's the point going there for the "chan-dang-min" then?! The second reason being, the hot tea with milk in Fairwood always top my list! Don't cast any imagination on its coffee, it sucks! You can find many good places for coffee nearby. Yet it's the tea with milk that it prepares with standard quality that keeps customers, for both morning and tea sessions!
I guess what makes the whole experience meaningful to me, in expense of the crowd and uncomfy seats here, would be the luxurious time I can spend during tea break. It's the sign of holidays!
