Though the shrimps used were small in size, they packed intensely addictive flavor. Lightly fried until crisp, the use of chili bean foam accentuated rather than overwhelmed. The cooling mayo provided the ideal pairing, allowing each piece and its subtle notes of heat to come through. Their goodness left one wanting more, proof that big flavor comes in petite, flavorful packages.

While the fried rice containing prized Fukunaga A5 Wagyu beef was good, it did not live up to our expectations. Though the velvety rice and thinly sliced beef were cooked to tender perfection, the flavors lacked the rich, distinctive aromatics we had anticipated.
