this is a relatively expensive restaurant in time square, not a cha chang teng. when i walk into a cha chang teng eg that australian milk company in jordan, i am ok to be rushed and get told off. they can do that cos its part of their culture and they have a strong brand to attract a line of overseas tourists everyday.

i have never been rushed so much and handed a bill without asking for one in a mid to high end restaurant.

do the maths, you are a proper restaurant in time square upper levels, you need returning customers. you dont have the luxury of new /overseas customers lining up everyday. so rushing existing customers to hand the table to a queue of zero people isnt worth the risk to your business.

lastly, i really regret telling my mates about this restaurant from my previous visit. hope they dont need to go through such level of madness for a not so cheap meal.
