Vivo. Even though there are lots of dining place in Soho .I do think Vivo is my choice for Italian cuisine . Although it's much more informal and laidback compare to usual Aqua establishment , but since is under The Aqua Group , presentation and the standard yet full of pleasant surprise . Vivo is a chic and intimate Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho . The lightening in its decor simulates the dramatic scenery of skyscrapers which reaching for the stars . It's just so dazzling !Smooth line

Vivo is a chic and intimate Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho . The lightening in its decor simulates the dramatic scenery of skyscrapers which reaching for the stars . It's just so dazzling !Smooth lines and black backgrounds highlight its modern ambience . Vivo has a contemporary Italian menu , a la carte , happy hour period and the set menu with a few signature selection .The set is around 250 with three courses , set in a very attractive price range .

For starter , we pick both fusion cuisine for more adventurous plates ! Scallop sashimi with its jelly coat is a very unique cooking method . Melon and fish row are sprinkled to complex your mouthful bites .The proportion for all fresh ingredients are well balanced with its colourful looking . The texture is s bit chewy , it is a good starter to whet the appetite.  
Crab cake

Crab cake is tasty , a competent twist on a classic . The texture is plump and fruitful with its fresh crab content . The crab cake stirred well  the bell pepper , mildly spicy that make the cake more stimulating  !  Despite the Crab cake is deep fried with bread crumbs , it's not oily and greasy at all . Big sliced of orange topped on the cake that add a hint of sourness and bring out the refreshment. A impressed delicacy ! 
Portobello Pizza

Signature dish is their portobello pizza . One of the hits is their ultra -thin pizza with a range of toppings . Here it comes , Portobello were evenly spread over the cheesy thin crust  . With the fennel and herbs ,  certainly comes to a perfect combination and its crispy yet still gives a texture instead of just a bite . Extremely crispy arousing . It's a light touch for a pizza with its ultra thin base ! This is a highly recommendend dishes . 

The sea bass

The sea bass was quite extraordinary with a simple cookery . I was surprised with such quality . Fish meaty with smooth , succulent content , with an umami depth enhanced by a lemon foam.  A hearty portion with spectacular stimulations . Garlics and onions are topped on the fish , add a hint of flavorings and tastiness .   I specially appreciate the presentation , garnish with flowers and grass ,simple but delicated . 

Penne with scallops and mushrooms

The penne cooked in a right timing that keeps it own texture . The sauce is light , successfully add some aroma to the penne and it wasn't too heavy . With fresh succulent scallop and assorted mushrooms , it is perfect in flavor .  
The yellow tail king fish

For the yellow tail king fish , it's kind of disappoint and lost it splendor compare to the sea bass . The fish was in a firm texture and the cut is flavoursome , however , the meat is under-seasoned and underwhelming . With its lacked seasoning , it wasn't match with the broth . While the broth is more insipid, it can't bring the freshness out and even make it worse . 

Dessert platter

The dessert platter basically come up with fondant as it was rich yet not too sweet. The parfait and tiramisu are much more light in gorgeous contrast . Everything on the dessert platter was authentically flawless ! 

Service are generally friendly , waitress are easy going and attentive , alerted enough to serve dishes on a timely basis .The overall perforamce is above average . I can't say it was amazing, but the dessert it really hit the spot.  Dense , rich , delight all in one platter , in one place .That's Vivo .
