First heard the arrival news from Timeout new eat few weeks ago. Was very excited and booked a table on the first day of their opening. Didn’t disappoint at all. Interior is simple yet comfortable. Overall, vibe is calm and love the 90s music 🥰Love the seats at the back where they have a huge window with natural sunlight coming through. Ordered their Rindo pork loin, curry Hiroshima oyster and Miyazaki chicken with scrambled egg. All of them are super delicious. First thing first the Rindo pork.
First thing first the Rindo pork. Very tender, juicy and sweet after taste. Meat quality is absolutely commendable. I personally like their umebishio sauce for the pork. Whereas for cabbage, I recommend the yuzu with apple vinegar or the shiso. Both very refreshing and good to balance your palate after having tonkatsu.
The Hiroshima oyster tasted good too according to my friend. Thin batter and deep-fried to golden. Managed to taste the curry sauce and surprisingly it has a balanced blend of spices and flavors, with the heat level being just right. Thick, rich & creamy the curry dish is satisfying and comforting.
The Miyazaki chicken was a surprised dish too. Chicken meat tasted sweet and fried to perfection. Crispy on the outer layer and juicy inside. The donburi rice was very flavorful and absorbed the egg and dashi moisture.
Overall, very good experience and would recommend it to friends and to all Tonkatsu lovers. Oh yes, tried their Japanese onion! It was sweet and texture cooked to perfection. Must try!! Don’t forget to visit their shop if you happen to be near Kowloon west. Shop is located a floor above the ice skating rink at Elements. They have an outdoor seating overlooking the skating rink too. This area looks pretty romantic 🥰. Hope to visit again soon and will try asking to be seated outdoor next time.
