Since Pacific Coffee was crowded by college students and families, we moved to this restarant. I think I picked a better choice than having coffee in Pacific Coffee in terms of Mo-Ikken Cafe's relatively comfortable dinning room, lower price, better service, and tidy environment. The dinning room is well decorated with both modern style and a touch of English tea house's style. Sofa seats are roomy and tiny which gave me a MUCH MUCH better impression than PACIFIC COFFEE. We ordered two afternoon tea sets, a deep fried chicken on instant noodle (without soup) and grilled chicken on french bun. Both beverage was coffee - one hot and one iced (add HK$2).
It took 5 minutes for the noodle. The chicken tasted good but the nooodle seems to be OVERCOOKED for at least 2 minutes. The bun taste excellent, both the pork tendorlin and the french bun.
The coffee is Hong Kong style. My husband said the hot one is acceptable but my iced one was a DISASTER. Since the ice was overloaded, it seriously diluted the beverage's taste. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!!
A few words ....
It's interesting that some college student consider the coffee shop as their study room or place for conducting private tutoring. Why don't they study in quiet place, such as their home or library? Also, why the student involved in the private tutoring activities choose the coffee shop instead of the student's home or the tutor's home? Interesting!
Also, some of the college students in those cafe are unfriendly, noisy, and EXATEMELY IMPOLITE. Sometime, it discourage some mature customers to visit there.
