Nice environment but food can be better

Bottom-line - the environment was nice, presentation was nice, but the food sucks ... It was two of us, we waited for 30 min or so to get seated, not too bad a wait for a Saturday afternoon. Each of us ordered the afternoon tea set which each came with 8 pieces of pastries and desserts in bite size, for about $130/person. It sounded like a good deal, and I was first impressed with the presentation of the platter, but was immediately disappointed with the tastes of the munchies...The two platter

Bottom-line - the environment was nice, presentation was nice, but the food sucks ... It was two of us, we waited for 30 min or so to get seated, not too bad a wait for a Saturday afternoon. Each of us ordered the afternoon tea set which each came with 8 pieces of pastries and desserts in bite size, for about $130/person. It sounded like a good deal, and I was first impressed with the presentation of the platter, but was immediately disappointed with the tastes of the munchies...The two platters were one dessert, and one pastries/sandwich (salty ones). The desserts were mostly small tarts with different toppings such as chocolate mousse, chestnut cream, hazelnut cream etc. The pastries were really tiny, and as far as I remember there were mini croissants, ham sandwich, salami sandwich....

Onto the coffee, both me and my friend ordered iced coffee and the coffee tasted blant, a bit too watery with too little ice. The coffee in Simply Life (festival walk) was much stronger and fit my acquired taste much more... but then again coffee tasting can be quite subjective...


So I'd say overall it's decent. But may not go back again. Simply Life in Festival walk actually has much better afternoon tea sets/brunches.
